could we win the SB even if we made it there?

On paper not a great matchup vs the saints. Strength vs strength with our rush O and their rush D. I just don’t know if we have the weapons at wr like Pitt to really exploit the saints weakness in the secondary.

And our rush defense against the saints OL and ingram/kamara? I really don’t want to see the saints in the SB if we make it.
They don't play games on paper...they play inside TV sets. Kenny Mayne

I'll most likely get laughed off the board on this but I think the defense is good enough to get the job done. The pass defense is the strength this year. If Gilly, JC, DMC, Chung, Harmon can continue to play at their current levels and if JJ and JMC can muster 3 very good games in a row they can slow down the Saints. Play 6 in the box, let Gilly and JC play bump and run man let the other 3 DBs do whatever.

With that said they won't go anywhere without a healthy Tom.

could the eagles win the superbowl after their star rookie was lost for the season?
could the patriots win the superbowl after they QB they just signed to the first every 100 million dollar deal?
could the giant beat the 18-0 world destroying patriots after backing their way into the playoffs?

Its ****ing football man. they LITERALLY made a movie about football called any given sunday.

Every single team in the league, could potentially beat any other team in the league, if a couple of bounces go their way.

TLDR, Of course they could, what kind of question is this.

Even cleaveland?

Some of the biggest wins and losses of this season have hinged one play or one bounce, same as the other 8 seasons they made it to a Superbowl....so why not.

No, we should give up now. And since they have plenty of startes on the long-run, why even bother trying next year?

Honestly, the stress prevented could save lifes

Almost every 2018 nfl team is flawed this year. Anyone can really win it this year.

Its pretty funny that without a horrible choke job at the end of the Miami game the Patriots would only have to be the NYJ@home to get the #1 seed. And yet we have this thread...

Don’t want to get too far ahead of myself but best case scenario, we win the divisional playoff and somehow win the AFC championship, could we beat the rams or the saints?
Have you watched the saints and rams play the last month?
They are beatable but the real question is why would you ever think any team has no chance in a SB much less one with the GOAT coach and GOAT QB?

I assume you say that because you use “winning the SB” as the primary/only metric of how good a team is?

I reject that in a sport where the championship is decided by a single game.

The 2007 Pats were a much better team than, say, the 2001 Pats. And the 2001 Pats are better than the 2018 Pats.
That depends upon the definition of better team.
The definition of the competition in the league is that the best team is the one that qualifies for the playoffs and wins all if it’s playoff games.
I prefer that one to using the one that says regular season games matter a lot and finishing the job doesnt matter much or one that says opinion determines who is best not competition on the field.
In terms of accomplishing their purpose of existence the 2001 Patriots are absolutely better than the 2007 patriots and 2018 isn’t over.

If the 2018 team wins the SB it is better than any team that ever failed to win a SB because it reached the ultimate goal. Peoples opinions are irrelevant in my view.

Ofcourse we can. When was the last time Kansas City won a playoff game at home?

To string together 3 great games is not out of the realm of possibility for this team. But first we have to get 1 vs Jets to make sure it isnt 4.

The thing I’m most concerned with right now is their short passing game. Always their strength but they need to solve whatever is going on in a hurry.
