It's easy, and only takes a few moments.No.First off, I by no means am suggesting the Pats chances of winning a SB without Brady wouldn't go down big time. Obviously Brady gives the team the best chance to win it all. Nor am I suggesting Brady is a system QB. He's the GOAT.
But let's say Hoyer was the starting QB for the entire 2019 season. What do you think the team's final record be? Is it possible BB wins it all with Hoyer as the starter?
6-8 wins which is why Belichick's impact is vastly overrated and Brady is the most impactful person/coach/GM/owner/player in NFL history.
This team goes as Tom goes.
Well, ya kinda need a backup. I don't see us winning a SB playing Hoyer, but I do see him as capable of going 3-3/4-2 over a 6 week period if we lost Brady for that amount of time. That's why he's here.If you have an opinion that says "NO!, Impossible". Then why do you think we keep him?
It could be a mere matter of best option available for the position. QBs don't exactly grow on trees, nor do the talented ones come cheap.IMO, if he's on this team then BB thinks we can win with him. It would make no sense otherwise. So, let's see if he makes the team.
If Hoyer wins the SB, EVERYONE would say Brady is a system QB....
Hopefully after a 2 years stretch in this system, he'd actually be a bit better than he was in Cleveland and Houston.Hoyer is a long way and a lot of season ending injuries away from his Cleveland Browns days.
the billions of Brady haters care....
If you have an opinion that says "NO!, Impossible". Then why do you think we keep him? Teams have won with their backup, the Giants, the Eagles (ouch) ..... it happens. If BB doesn't think we win with Hoyer than offer him a coaching job and go with the developmental Stidham.

Hey if the opposing team in the Super Bowl sits its top cornerback, anything is possible....
Exactly. His knowledge of our system alone likely puts him in a very limited category of guys that would be considered for the job in that type of situation.Well, ya kinda need a backup.
