Could it Be Argued Miami are More Threatening than Hou or Oak?

Any Playoff Opponent = Threat, until the Game Clock reads 0:00, there are no Flags on the Defense and Mike Kensil isn't fiddling with the clock.

Here me out here. I would expect us to beat all three, but both Hou and Oak are coming in with major issues at QB.

However, Moore has proven he is no idiot. No, he isn't Marino or Pennington, but he isn't a moron. Couple that with the fact that Maxwell will be back, I think they look more of a complete team than the other two. One we should beat, but not a car crash.

Would you consider Miami more of a threat in Foxboro than the other two?
I think they would be the tougher of the three. But Houston does have the number one defense. A loss in the first playoff game would be a shocker, totally, no matter who it is.

Um. I suppose 2010 is a good reminder of divisional dangers, but we're talking about the Matt Moore led Dolphins. Let's not give in to the crazy.

Good point, but then it sinks in that in 2010 we lost to MARK friggin SANCHEZ!!!!!!

Don't worry, I know we like to point to 2010 to keep us grounded but the reality is that it was an anomoly.

Things are more likely to look like our 2011 game against Tebow than our 2010 game against Sanchez.

If they played in Miami, they might have a snowballs chance. In Pittsburgh, I say no. Miami, on the road has been average and barely beat the Rams. I think the Stigglers are going to roll over Miami 30 or 40 something to 14 at the most. And it won't be that close.

Argued? I thought it was a given.

Regards,
Chris

Beating a team three times in a season has happened 17 times (according to this link, not independently confirmed):

NFL teams beating the same team 3 times in a season
hey always say that it is hard to beat the same team three times in one season. However, it happens periodically. Since 1950, it has happened 17 times:

The bolded line makes me feel happy and warm inside.

Matt Moore has proven more in his career than Connor Cook or Brock Osweiler. He has six years in the system, a deeper group of WRs than wither Hou or Oak and a better running back.

Of the three teams, only Houston has a good defense, whereas both Miami and Oakland have collections of playmakers surrounded by below-average talent. And Houston does not scare me at all.

Miami is more dangerous.

It doesn't matter because Madden predicts a loss to the Chiefs. Pats are doomed.

There is no argument. Miami is the "toughest" of the 3 potential opponents.

But I will be very happy if they knock Pittsburgh out.

Yes they are in our division and yes defeating a team 3x would be tough but we would prevail.

divisional opponents are always tough and strange things happen. I just dont see miami going into pittsburgh and winning with moore. they would have a chance with tanehill

I think Moore is better than Tannenhill. I don't understand all the hate for Matt Moore.

Currently The Weather Channel is predicting snow next Saturday night. I think it won't matter which team they face.

Agreed. If the game was in Miami I think the Phins can make a game of it. Yet taking a quick look at the Phins last 10 games, it is a good record but it also shows they have exactly one convincing win (against the Jets). They got by the Bills, the Cardinals, the 49ers, other Jets' game, Rams, Chargers while getting throttled by the Ravens and dismissed by the Patriots.
To be fair I didn't look in depth at the box scores but nothing from the final scores suggests the Phins, especially on the road and in cold weather, are a real threat to a team like the Patriots or even Pitt (unless a team helps the Phins/beats themselves). And while I think Mia is a slightly more capable team than Hou, Hou's close connections with the Patriots probably makes them slightly more a concern to the Patriots.

Bottom line: If the Patriots are what their record says they are (it is), a matchup against one of these two teams in a single elimination PO scenario is a ++ for us Patriot fans (IMHO/prediction, go ahead and make preparations for a NE v Pitt AFCCG).

No guys.. whether its Miami or Houston we got a double bye to the AFCC game. Lets just face it.. Miami in Miami is always tough but this year it really wasn't that competitive. So coming into Foxborough they have a 5% chance of winning while Houston has about a 3% chance.

all playoff games are threats .Anything can happen.i learnt my lesson in 2010 and 2007. Didnt see either loss coming.

out of the three .i want to face Miami the least. its hard to beat a team three times in a season. that and they are a division team that's very familiar with the pats and no stranger to foxboro. give me the texans.

But Houston does have the number one defense.
This is the third or fourth time I've seen/heard this today, so it's gaining lots of traction, but it isn't really true, is it?

I mean--unless you value yardage allowed over points allowed, and if so, I'd question why.

That HOU-OAK game was a miserable disaster.
