A nice piece from Mike Reiss (and thus a BSPN link, you've been warned!) -> Patrick Chung's act of kindness makes the day of die-hard Patriots fan, the jist of which is:
Turns out he was the victim of an accident where a tree fell on him. Chung gave him quite a thrill. I like it when players take some time and do these small things that can mean so much to others.
Chung was exiting the field after a brief warm-up, and saw Joey Jacobsen, an 18-year-old from Minden, Nevada, nearby. Jacobsen was in his wheelchair wearing a blue No. 12 Tom Brady jersey. Chung approached him, shook his hand, and then handed him his white gloves.
“It was awesome, a moment I’ll never forget,” Jacobsen said, adding that Chung is the first Patriots player he’s ever met.
