Not sure how reliable that grade 1 tear report is. Seems like the information might have come from a parody account.

He'll be 100% come Game 1. He's getting a heck of a lot more than 14 days off.

Reports have said a strain/pull haven't seen a tear either. However the team avoided a big blow.. Hammy issues are serious especially for a CB. He'll be put on a plan for rest/ rehab. The positives are vrabel has been getting long looks at guys like Dial, Austin, DJ James. With Davis out again as he also is reportedly on a team plan for his managing.

That's huge especially this time of year... to be fresh coming into week one.. I expect him to be on Bowers.. all that matters is week 1 and beyond..

Gonzalez needs to get as close to game speed as possible.

Sitting out rarely accomplishes that.
He will be put on a plan.. fortunately for NFL players because teams invest in them they have the best trainers and Doctors in the world. Gonzo has been a full participant all off season.. so to miss some time in camp and preseason games won't be detrimental.

Can't rush the hamstring injury. Mismanaged, the Pats could lose him for most of the year. It's going to be a while before he can test that sucker with relative reckless abandon. Ounce of prevention, and all that.
We know what Gonzo is.. I'm looking forward to what the other young guys can provide for depth. Keep in mind Davis hasn't been out their either it's wide open for the CB depth battle.

He’s fine.

If they bring in an outside vet like Gilmore then ill be worried.

They should be doing that anyway.

The benefit in this.. letting Austin and other guys get some run. Gives Vrabel a better idea what he has behind Gonzo and CD..

Not Sure if he's gonna like what he finds when he does...

Yes, we need to see what our likely bottom 3 corners can do. Jones and Austin are coming back from injuries as usual.

James seems a good shot to make the team as the backup NB.

Dial and Bolden seem to be fighting it out for the 6th spot, if we have one, being the #4 outside and a STer.

Austin has the athletic ability to be out there.

We dont know what we have in him yet because he's raw but good coaching should bring it out. You could see him flipping his hips and making smooth moves and quick reactions out there the last 2 years. He has the speed. He has everything you want... except we dont know if he can really play.
