What does this have to do with being a pathological liar?

So either build an awesome supporting cast around Mac and pray he doesn't **** it up or figure out a way to trade for a top tier football player like Lamar (for significant compensation) and pay him top tier money. That's how it works in the NFL 2023.

I'll stand by everything I said there 1000 times over. Never mind lying, which obviously isn't the case, just tell me where I'm wrong? Look around the league Jackass, teams are chasing top tier quarterbacks, building supremely talented teams around non-elite quarterbacks, or both.

The Bucs won with Brady.
The Rams won with Stafford.
The Jets have swung for the fences with Rodgers.
The Browns went all in on Watson.
The Ravens (smartly) committed to Jackson.
The Chiefs are paying Mahomes $45 mil per.
The Dolphins gave Tua the best duo of WRs in the NFL.
The Eagles got Brown and Smith for Jalen.
The Seahawks have Metcalf, Lockett, and they took Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the 1st round.
Whoever is the 49ers quarterback will have an all star team around him.
The Bengals have Burrow, Chase, and Higgins.
Etc.

That's how it works in today's NFL. There's a reason why an NFL team hasn't drafted a K and P in the same draft in 23 years... it's a misuse of draft capital. Leave it to Belichick to snap the streak.

And while I think Lamar Jackson is an all world football player, I wanted the Patriots to go after him because he would have made them immediate serious contenders. I can't stand Aaron Rodgers, however I said it made complete since for Belichick to pursue him in a trade, for the same reason, he'd make us immediate serious contenders. Now Rodgers has done that for the hated Jets. You'll see, it's all coming to fruition this fall.

My father's deceased, 1960Pats shared a sentimental story about he and his son attending a game, so yeah, it made me think about good times at the old stadium with my dad. Firstly, the pick should've been #120 because I would never, Ever, EVER have made the trade-up to 112 (with the ****ing Jete of all teams);

Secondly, 120 should've been #80 if Little Billy actually cared about his own team more than "sticking it to" the Jete no matter the cost;

Thirdly, I would've made the same trade with 80 for 93 & 132 that ****tsdirt did...

So with the 93rd pick in the draft, the NEP select: from BYU, OT Blake Freeland.


If forced to clean up Billy's mess at 120, then my pick would've been among OT Carter Warren, WRs Tyler Scott & Charlie Jones, and DB Darius Rush... OLB Nick Herbig would also have been under consideration but I'm basing this pick on #76 staying the same.

So your plan is a trade that netted 120 should gave netted 80 because you say so? You’ve failed before you start.

Everything you just said is COMPLETE and UTTER Garbage. The Steelers weren't giving up #80 in that trade. PERIOD. End of Story.

The Pats missed out on Moody in the third round and traded to get ahead of GB in the 4th to take the next best kicker (in the Pats' view).

Like a child obsessing over a trinket, Belichick just had to do this boneheaded move.

Still doesn’t sit right in my craw.

By the way, Gostkowski had an absolute killer missed PAT in the 2015 AFCCG. His best contribution to the 28-3 comeback was another missed PAT... it mathematically put the team in a better spot, needing 2-pt conversions to tie the game (more reliable than his "clutch" postseason kicking).

But doncha know he was a worthy fourth-rounder as well?

Meanwhile, just to take a broader view, the best most clutch kicker in our team’s modern history (RIP, Gino) was undrafted.

And I read that this kid was only 3 out of 6 from beyond 50. Yeah, a big leg but the lack of consistency means old man Folk, only four years older than our new tackle Reiff, and very consistent from 47 yards and in, will not go gentle into that dark night.

And the Krafts should bring in a GM for next year.
