Just saw the tweet from Ian Rappaport. Disgusting.

Couple of days ago he got into a fight with his HC for embarrassing the organization. I guess he went foul mouthed during an interview. Then the HC read him the riot act. Then Chad got testy with the media and refused to do any interviews.

Then he had zero catches.

I wouldn't want to be a prima donna WR released by Bill. It doesn't seem to go their way later.

He didn't get into a fight with his HC. He did get talked to and HBO did catch it all on tape. Chad didn't say much, seemed a little chagrinned to be getting flack about a presser, excuse was just tryin' to keep it light but Philbin wasn't buying it. Apparently had a bad practice, his first by his standards, then announced he was through talking to the media like they somehow screwed him, then he blew his only shot on a third down strike right through the old mitts that killed their first scoring drive of the pre season. And Garrard went off to have his knee scoped. So all in all not a good week to be 85.

The problem now is Philbin also went on film after their discussion last week and stated that if he was disruptive or didn't get the organizational image message he could well be cut. So the organization has kind of painted itself into a box. Plus he's likely to hear from his so called "Dad".

This seems like a pretty major change in his personality. I wonder if he had a I nervous breakdown or something. Maybe the stress of zero production was too much for him and he cracked.

It's possible.

No, that promise was made before their first off day and he was clearly jonesing for the cameras. This is pretty real, he's still in jail with no twitter access or FIFA/Call of Duty gaming access possibly until Monday. Evelyn went to the hospital, and she didn't back his accidental spin out of the gate. I have no doubt that eventually all parties will call for charges to be dropped, but the damage may have already been done.

I won't be surprised if it all doesn't go away though. Those two have a celebrity couples image to protect, it's about all either of them has. The wedding show hasn't even hit the airwaves yet, and while this will drive ratings it won't bode well for the sequel.

Yeah,he was a good citizen ...and once he got to Miami he let everyone know how miserable he was here since the Pats handcuffed his 'personality' which cost him any success on the field.

He was good while here, that's what's most important. One stupid comment about being handcuffed doesn't obliterate that.

I'm a bit surprised by all this animosity toward him.

Listen, I agree that there are few contexts where head-butting your wife lets you come off looking like a Good Guy. Maybe if she was about to kill someone, or something. Even if she did buy condoms and was cheating on him, and provoked him verbally by being a total Bicth, to head butt? Sorry, crosses a line even if she deserved to be put in her place somehow.

Note this assumes that is accurate--I wouldn't put it past her to lie to the police, Crystal Gail Mangum style.

Head butting your wife is offensive and stupid but not as bad as this former Patriot (they had to get the mention in there!) who was convicted of killing his lover's rich boyfriend and was finally sentenced Friday to life without parole.

Chad apparently appeared by video which they live stream in Miami this AM and was released (not actually processed out yet but lawyer hopes he will be in time to get to practice at 1PM) on $2500 bail and ordered not to have any contact with Evelyn.

No way this was a stunt.

Lots of media pressure being exerted on a team that caters to pressure... Claim this will be a trial for Philbin whether Chad ever goes to trial or not. Said he was on thin ice and now he's fallen through it so, does Philbin mean what he says or is he just blathering.

The story has evolved into the argument started at dinner because she found a receipt for condoms in the car and it wasn't hers and the argument continued on the ride home culminating in her 911 call to police whom Chad tried to convince it was an accident. She didn't back him up and they took her to a hospital because her injury was obvious. Now he's out on bail and has a TRO against him. I'd imagine if she was eager to get him off the hook his lawyer would have had something to that effect on hand when he appeared. I don't doubt charges will somehow be dropped due to lack of cooperation, but it may already be too late for that as far as Miami is concerned.
