Celtics 2023 - 2024 Discussion

Watching the game tonight before football. Porzingis is a human cheat code. I hope he stays healthy.
Pritch is playing like he belongs in the regular rotation, but I'd like to see him play more point. I'm not sure, but he may just be a shooting guard.

He’s a perfect fit on that team.

To be fair, those are three pretty big areas to have as warts
Except they're only recent warts. 2nd half of last season. Period.
He was great before that.
Great defender.
Great scorer.
No reason he can't get back to that.
Even last year he was still an all star caliber player. He has always been a great teammate by all accounts.
He needs to clean up a few things
I'd be surprised if he doesnt.

Watched 1st half if tonight's game vs. Charlotte. Total domination on both sides of ball.
And that's with most of the C's not shooting particularly well except Brown who was hitting everything.
This team is gonna be a lot of fun to watch. Will help wash the bad taste of the Patriots out of our mouths

Bought NBA league pass for first time. $100 seems like a good value for every game and like 6 months of entertainment. Just hope teams will play a little harder during regular season. The league has gotten on teams this year about this problem.

It's a long season. One of the things all nba starters have to learn is when to go hard and when to cruise. You have to cruise some or youll be useless come playoff time.
Bird did it. Jordan did it. Russell.
I love football but the nba is much much tougher on your body/ mind than the nfl.
Not even close. Fans should know this.
Take your rest when you can.
Truth is,nfl players are ****ies compared to nba players. A whole week between games? Lol
You stop after every play? Lmao.
Try playing back to back to back games 3 straight nights in Boston,Chicago and LA.
There's no comparison between the toughness levels. You have to be much tougher to play in the nba than nfl.
Boxing is hands-down the toughest sport but I'd put the nba next.

Yeah I agree. I don’t blame the players or coaches but it’s why in past years I’ve waited until playoffs to watch.

I'm not saying they'll come out lollygagging lol.
I think they'll come out with high intensity and because their talent level is greater than all but a few teams, they'll be plenty in games that are blowouts so starters can sit after 3 quarters.
But when they play Bucks, Heat, Sixers,Nuggets,Sun's etc they'll be battling hard all game.
So my advice is if you're going to watch C's vs.a crappy team, tune in early.

Pre game against Cha Hornets the Celtics won. Jaylen Brown led the team with 20 points. Jaylen Brown led the team with turnover also. In the previous game against the Knicks Jaylen Brown led the team in turnover as well. Out of the 5 games played to date he has only played in 2, he sat out the other 3. I am impressed with his consistent leadership role.

Can JB and JT win a title together? I doubt it. But with Porz and Holiday I think so. I am very encouraged.

Watching Pritchard in the preseason he seems to finally have the correct NBA pace of play. Is it his 4th or 5th year? We will see if his composure holds in the regular season, but I think it will (I have been optimist before and then disappointed as Pritchard looked too hurried). If Pritchard and Hauser can add meaningful minutes in the season AND post-season, I think we have a winner.

The only think that worries me is injuries to Al and Porz. No depth.
I've actually been pretty impressed with Queta. He looks better than Kornet to me.

No question. Kornet is decent offensively but his rebounding is poor.

If Q continues to play well I suspect they'll sign him to the roster.

Looking forward to seeing the new lineup in regular season. Let's go C's

Nice start for Tatum and Porzingis, Brown not so much

Derrick White did the right thing with his head, that expanding headband wasn't fooling anyone.

Tommy Tibs might want to follow that trend.

I see them winning 60+ if Porzingis stays healthy. That trade was a masterstroke.

Jaylen Brown is the biggest loser. Lol. Comes into the game with 4 minutes left, tie game, and I already know they're going to lose. Two ridiculously stupid turnovers in ten seconds, then pathetic defense turns into a 4 pt play. 7 pt deficit after 15 seconds of his return. This guy is an absolute clown.

Well they won, but wow. I've been thinking you've been a little too harsh about Brown but I don't know anymore. It might be tough to win with him

108 .. 104 win ... too close.
Agree on Brown .... take the money and run.
