KP back for Game 1 of the Finals. Let's pray the man can get do the unexpected and stay healthy through this series.
Break has been way too long, should’ve started last night.Anybody else sick of analysis and waiting and just want the damn games to start?
You think you're sick now, wait until if this series drags out 7 games and will take 18 days to complete.Anybody else sick of analysis and waiting and just want the damn games to start?
True. But at least they'll be playingYou think you're sick now, wait until if this series drags out 7 games and will take 18 days to complete.
Agree. Good news is it gives KP more time to heal and Big Al to rest, work off the birthday cake and catch his breath after blowing out 38 candles.Break has been way too long, should’ve started last night.
the only place i see the Celtics as favorites is Vegas. Most of the "experts" are picking the MavsNot sure how the lowly Celtics can beat these guys??
Are Luka and Kyrie Really the Best Offensive Backcourt Ever?
just heard the same thing on the radio. they were saying the NBA has lost a little momentum since we have to wait so long for the finals to startAnybody else sick of analysis and waiting and just want the damn games to start?
You beat me to it. Just came on to say Celtics in five.A healthy Porzingis has a transformational effect on the Celtics. If he's good to go and remains that way, Boston in 5. If Kyrie or Luka's offensive output dips ever so slightly, they don't have enough scoring and aren't good enough defensively to slow Boston's best 6 down.
The narrative Boston will lose to Dallas because they had an easier run to the NBA Finals irks me. What were they supposed to do? Outside of a couple of missteps, beat inferior teams in six or seven game series? You beat me to it. Just came on to say Celtics in five.
....and it's a BS narrativeThe narrative Boston will lose to Dallas because they had an easier run to the NBA Finals irks me. What were they supposed to do? Outside of a couple of missteps, beat inferior teams in six or seven game series?
Boston won 64 games and have only lost 2 games in the playoffs for a reason. I had my queries, but thus far, they've shown me they appear to have something different about them this season.
I believe it will be a tough series because the team has a knack for making it hard on themselves, even this season.I for one love it that the Celtics aren't getting "respect." We know that whenever teams get too much love, it tends to backfire as they start to believe the noise. See Minnesota, New York, and Indy.
We've all been around long enough to know:
1. "Hot takes" get clicks and need to go against the grain to get as many as possible.
2. Pundits often work for the networks that are showing the games. They have to play up the underdog as much as possible to believe the series will be competitive to ensure more eyes on the product.
I do believe this is going to be a tough series, but not because more people are picking Dallas. I rely on my own eyes. The Celtics should win, regardless of what the hot takes say.
"The Revenge of Kyrie"
Coming Soon to a TV near you!
Flatline (earther).Kyrie's wake on national TV will have a huge audience.
Have they though? I see a real change this year, they don't go 12-2 in the playoffs in past years, and that isn't entirely because of the talent disparity I don't thinkI believe it will be a tough series because the team has a knack for making it hard on themselves, even this season.
