I am in agreement that we should let Rozier walk. I liked Rozier's contributions, but he isn't a starter in this league, IMO....too streaky of a scorer even if his D is good.
Morris, I'd try to resign. He is gonna cost us money anyway...and he has been a very valuable starter/bench guy for us. Fearless shooter...and you love him when he's hot...not so much when he isn't....but he makes up for that with hustle.
Dunno about Kyrie...I am completely torn, but keeping Kyrie increases our odds of landing AD. And if Rozier leaves and one of Brown/Tatum are traded away....it will make the team Kyrie's team and everyone will have to fall in line. Dunno...to be honest...Kyrie isn't my favorite player right now and I thought he played badly in the last 4 games of the playoffs...35% from the floor isn't max player performance, IMO...and a lot of those shots were open looks. The question I have is whether it was just a bad streak....or a precursor of things to come.
Either way....this team will be led by Kyrie...or we will go for a youth movement. The latter is more appealing to me....I really liked last year's team as well as the IT led Celtics the 1-2 years prior....every player was likeable until we traded for Kyrie.... BUT DID THEY WIN IT ALL? No..... this is the NBA...you need elite talent to get deep into the playoffs. Next year will be interesting because the Dubs might not have Klay nor Durant and the playing field will be more even....
I am torn....and the point I was making is that we can sign a max guy if we wanted to. The NBA has a soft cap and the luxury tax is something like 150%....anything is possible. I just hope we don't see Kyrie and KD in New York though...that would suck.
