He's not the answer or future. And I'm NOT saying Mac is.
Sadly, we need to keep losing so Kraft doesn't have a senile moment and think BB has "found it" again.
We can't afford to ride this BB decline any longer.
Some people just can't help but bait the bull. Of course, those pansies are the same ones that complain when they get called on their ****.Andy, I get you're just trying to tweak the Cult of Tom, but why?
Aaaaaaaand Brock Purdy sucksStill need a QB.
Zappe is only better than Corky who has no business in the NFL.
It’s hard to throw this all on Belichick when Mac Jones is so obviously the worst thing anyone has ever seen in their entire lives.Zappe mania resurrecting just proves how desparate Pats fans are to see any offense. Any TD's.

true, but you could see it as giving Mac ample chances to prove himself .. so now there is no doubt that he is not the one. at least we learned that for sureIt’s hard to throw this all on Belichick when Mac Jones is so obviously the worst thing anyone has ever seen in their entire lives.
If we’re adding to the list of things he should be blasted for, I’d rank sticking with Mac Jones and nearly completely ruining team-moral in doing so as higher on the list than our current W/L, which can be laid at the feet of Mac and perhaps the only reason Belichick should be entirely blamed for it.
Would have been nice to not waste an entire season exploring what a lot of people thought was pretty obvious long before.true, but you could see it as giving Mac ample chances to prove himself .. so now there is no doubt that he is not the one. at least we learned that for sure

This would be nice.... if we had good players at QB that were reliable. We don't. Which is also a Bill Belichick fault. Same reason the Jets begged Wilson back. We went in with our pants down at QB... againWould have been nice to not waste an entire season exploring what a lot of people thought was pretty obvious long before.
More over, like I said in the PGT, this years wildcard is really up for grabs. This win against the Steelers would have been a huge one last night if made us even a 7 win team.
It's really not that hard to throw it on Belichick.
1. He drafted Mac.
Did Mac get saddled with Patricia or did Patricia get saddled with an abysmal quarterback utterly incapable of winning in the NFL? Acting like it’s all Patricia’s fault after this season seems like an assumption.2. He saw Mac playing decent year one and decided to saddle him with Patricia and do next to nothing to build the offense for two years
Yes. He should have just started Zappe week #1 and we would be looking at a possible wildcard instead of crying like Jets fans about the draft— a position Mac put us in.3. He was the one who played the "on and off benching" game.
Mac should have been the ****ty backup. He would be lucky to even be considered that.4. He is the one that went into the season with ****ty back ups who weren't competent and had to stick with Mac when it wasn't working because he didn't believe in anything else.
He had training wheels on. He wasn’t good. We should have traded him after the first season to rob someone, like I said before the “Patricia” (more like Mac Jones) experiment even started. He picked the player, he had a good start and failed to develop on that and failed to properly add and support it and now the the player is worthless.
1. He's the GM. For any GM.... it's on you when the QB busts. Many GM's get fired over that. It's probably one of the most important jobs for a GM to get right. Beyond that he's the one who went into 2020 with Stidham and scrambled to get Cam and bet on Mac the last two years while having junk behind him.QB busts happen.

I’ve already stated a million times I’m quite indifferent to whether or not we move on from Belichick or let him finish out his contract. My one position on the matter is that when we do move on from Belichick, I want to move on from him completely. Not bring in his coaching tree, his former linebackers, or anyone connected to him, so we can definitively begin a new era.1. He's the GM. For any GM.... it's on you when the QB busts. 2. The difference between starting Zappe earlier in the season is immaterial. He just played the worst defense on our schedule and got shut out last Sunday and he played a bottom 3 defense on our schedule and got shut out the second half. I have almost no reason to think we are fighting for a wildcard spot at this point.
3. It makes very little difference.
4. Do you think Zappe doesn't have training wheels on? We can go back to that, but like we saw even last night in a good game, defenses sniff that out quick. If you think we should have traded Mac.... that's still a failure of Bill the GM.
I don't see any scenario in here that doesn't largely put Bill Belichick's decision making extremely in question. Regardless of if you take my position that it doesn't matter who we started or yours that it would make some tangible difference. At the end of the day, these are the culminations of one guys team building and coaching decisions.

I'm happy with Zappe compared to Mac, but I would have to see a lot more before I would say he is the answer. If he can win 3 out of five, sign me up.The best part of having it clear that Zappe is The Answer is it allows for the high first round pick to be traded back for a handful of value picks in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds. Pats can then pick up a WR, Safety, and interior lineman respectively.
