For instance: We sign like mad to the tune of 10's of millions, and then whittle away the bulk of it to be under by the deadline?
Miguel or any that know?
I read we have to be under the cap by midnight (we are) but it's calculated based on the 35 highest salaries on the team or some number like that?
After I posted I did a little research. You're right about midnight.
What time is the Cassel trade going to me announced?
They better get that crap done for me...
I never thought I'd say this before this last year or two, if it's between Faulk and Vrabel give me Faulk. Vrabel has all but disappeared since the 07 game in Pittsburgh.

51 instead of 53.
In any case, Vrabel is, per Miguel, owed $1M tomorrow morning, so if they want to cut him--which is doubtful--they'd have to do it tonight. Faulk they might well just restructure to reduce his cap hit by $1-2M.
If we trade Cassel for draft picks we dont have to cut people to make cap room.
Thanks. I was reaching into the memory banks for something I glossed over.
Are we allowed to aiming for 80 guys again at midnight as well?
For all intents and purposes, it's been at 80 since the season ended.
i cant see us cutting faulk, but i can see a restructuring. vrabel, i can see him being cut. espcially if we pick up peppers for cassel. wed have a lot of LBs and he is way too expensive
According to Tom Marino if these players are cut or left to go FA we free up $16,647,000, not including a Cassel trade.

I do not know if this is true.

Nick Kuzcur could be another cut. He is basically a JAG RT and could free up a little over $1 million.
