I had the same thoughts and I hope your right, time will tell, hopefully Brady can take a big chuck out of Goodys azz

Brady's got standing and a union chomping at the bit to take on the league and goody and they've been very successful before.

Another good reason for him not to be involved is...he's a feckin owner. he negotiated the NFLPA contract. He can't really put as uniform on and throe rocks at the league [other owners].

There's no way that would be good for the team or for Brady. Brady and the players association have a real appeal, even if goodell hears it, because they will immediately question his impartiality.

The NFLPA has standing to open up a whole can of worms, because they are a union representing labor against management.

I don't know what's in his mind, but to think he folds after one defeat is really an insult to the guy. I keep repeating how he spent nine years buying useless things to get his shot at buying the team.

I can guarantee he and a phalanx of lawyers and business advisors went over the pros ans cons. he didn't become a multi billionaire by making rash decision or quitting when his first option is not viable.

I get what your saying, and I would LOVE for what you are selling to be true (that RottenKrap actually has some back room deal with Go-to-hell for him to retire and the 'members' then get a do-over; or he has 20+ owners aligned to vote him out and is just working the last few votes! or something along those lines)

But, I think I would rather get some of what you're smoking. I just don't believe it. If he had any intentions of lowering the boom, going thru with the appeal process, even if doomed -- WOULD HAVE PUT Go-to-HELL ON THE SPOT and had him fighting in two directions while TB is working his appeal-lawsuit.
There was 0 reason to cave and not wait 48 hours to make roger squirm.

Is it not possible that Robert Kraft is a very successful businessman who just sold the Patriots down the tubes because it's the financially sensible thing to do?

My argument is that Kraft is way more interested in the general health of the NFL than the Patriots continuing to dominate.

I think the 'Kraft folded' narrative doesn't make a great deal of sense.

The owners have decided that their business model should include a strong aspect of parity - how better to keep the fans involved if the NFL could engineer a situation where all teams had an equal chance of taking home the Superbowl?

Its odd that you concede that Kraft is a savvy businessman, yet also think that the 32 businessmen that comprise the league have somehow managed to employ a bumbling megalomaniac who is operating with complete autonomy.

No the Giants and Steelers have had some pretty crappy teams that would have sucked in any division. Granted the Ravens have beat the Pats on occasion but they too wouldn't be as dominant if they had to play the pats twice a year.
