a bigger question is after the bears saw what happened in the superbowl, they weren't willing to go out and attempt to fix it. You were lucky to get that far last year, enjoy it

Lovey likes him and that is all that matters, otoh cannot imagine how they could ever think this team would do well with him at QB.

I don't think Eli is worse than grossman. You switch roles and the bears might actually win last year while the giants would be terrible. I don't think eli has done very well but he has the talent. In addition he won't be pulled becuase of his name and how much the giants spent on him.

The only serviceable QB the Bears have had in the last 42 years is Jim McMahon. For some reason, that team never seems to place due value on the most important position in football. I also think that Lovie as a coach is waaaaay overrated. Mike Singletary should be the Bears' coach.

Grossman's pick, where he threw into double coverage in the SB, was astounding. I really can't see what he does better than Griese or many, many backups in the league. He's got a strong arm, but so does the world's strongest man. I wouldn't want him at QB either.
According to the NFL website, he "silenced his critics" in the game against SF. Hmmmm......
