Love it, I'm sure they are baffled why he did this and feel they deserve to be respected when they don't respect anybody.

Whoever wanted to have the Globe removed did the right thing. I'm not sure that it was Brady as much as Best Buddies, but I'm sure he approved of the move. So did I.

I can remember when the globe was good, and every Sunday would absorb the column by Peter Gammons about all things baseball.. fascinating read and was amazed how much information he was able to put into one column.. think it was called "Hot Stove League" or something like that.

As have most newspapers the Glove has taken their eye off of the ball..

Doesn't the media have anything better to do than stir up drama with tom brady?

No..they really don't

I don't know wether funny, agree, or winner is right. Meantime what do I give the straight man? (A good straight man get like a 60-40 split of the take - hence it was Abbott and Costello not Costello and Abbott)

Interesting to just watch Holley, Giles, Draper and Giardi discuss this on Comcast. Only Holley expressed some support and understanding of Brady's position. Giardi, as usual, made an ass of himself by suggesting that he'd kick the **** out of anyone attempting to escort him, as a member of the media, out of an event. The ultimate phony tough guy...

It was the best Sunday sports section in the country. Not anymore.

I sense another fluff piece about tomato cans in the AFC or air from Shaughnessy. In a late afternoon meeting John Henry was overheard talking to Shank. Here's the transcript:

JH: Shank, start writing another article about air pressure. This time photoshop a flat football on the sidelines at Gillette.
Shank: Got it boss.
JH: What else???.....
Shank: Maybe we can make something up about a fan at the AFCCG using the N word?? That would really turn people against the Pats. Can we boss...huh ...please...
JH: Shank you imbecile, the public is dumb, but not that dumb.
Shank: Please boss....pretty please....we sell tons of papers and get millions of hits when I make things. Besides boss, they are pretty easy to write.
JH: Yeah...but football has a young, hip crowd. We are stuck with the crusty, old, ignorant, has beens in our glorious game of baseball. No-one will buy it.
Shank: Not all of us are crusty boss. Besides, I hear fans using F bombs all the time at Gillette boss. Go Sox!
JH: Shank on second thought... I'll get someone else to slam the Pats. Meanwhile start writing another article about the summer of 67. Put something in it about Yaz having a charity bike ride to the Cape.
Shank: Got it boss. Great idea!
JH: Mumbling under his breath...."such an idiot. Why is he even on the payroll"??
