Out and about yesterday morning, and the "farm team talk radio hosts" were trying to play both sides of this nontroversy.. the failed miserably. Meanwhile "Curly Haired Boyfriend" was in the background making some noise..

Baseball like golf is a pastoral sport, napping is required anytime, anywhere, with or without beer.

It's a game from a different time in many ways. There are anecdotes that Babe Ruth used to have a beer under the stands during a game; whether or not that's true, they certainly went there for a smoke between innings. I think it was against the rules to light up in the outfield.
