He currently has more pass yards, more completions, more yards per pass attempt, and a better completion percentage than the 12 games he played last year. Almost double the sacks which is most likely the result of an OL which has been up and down. And he had Julian, Hogan and Mitchell for the year in 2016.

He has 3632 pass yards now. Leads the league and at the same pace (302) over the last 4 games he gets to 4840. Needs to average 367 a game to get to 5K and 463 a game to beat Peyton's record. The latter won't likely be doable but 5K might be. Probably will need big games against Miami and Pitt and obviously will need to play all 16 games.

With Edelman out for the season along with other injuries...and 40 years old... and obviously if he keeps this up... it's going to be very difficult to make an argument that he is not deserving of MVP. Especially if he tops the magic number of 5000 pass yards which has only been done 9 other times, and all by QB's that aren't close to 40.

If the ground game continues to produce.....Brady will be hard pressed to reach these numbers.
Of course NE will likely throw the ball 95% of the time vs Pitt....so he has that going for him....which is nice

That’s match-up specific. The Pats rumbled on the ground yesterday because the Bills run D is ****. They clearly sold out against the pass yesterday in a concerted effort to not allow chunk plays through the air on early downs with 5-6 DBs. Given that, running the ball was the obvious choice. If they show those same looks again in the next meeting, the Pats will do the same thing. It kind of reminded me of those Colts games from 2013-2014.

You'll be disappointed when Brady doesn't play Game 16.

Not going to happen. As the weather worsens, his yardage totals typical drop. He won't make 5000 yards this year.

The notable dropoff seems to occur mostly in wk-16 & especially w-17. Probably more related to whether or not their playoff seeding has been determined (and also how long he stays in the final game).

Since his yardage totals typically go back up to "normal" in the playoffs (mostly at home or somewhere else outdoors), I'm not sure how much "weather" in general might be a factor. For the weather conditions for certain specific games, probably. But then he's also put up significant numbers in snowstorms.

But, yeah, getting to 5,000 probably isn't going to happen this season. Somewhere around 4,600 seems much more likely.

I have said it in other posts but Brady is a better QB now than in 2007. I really believe it. Physically, he is no worse but I think he is even smarter. Really impressive.
