Bradford: Baker Mayfield a Patriot?

Luke Falk would be my choice for QB in this draft.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. He seems to have the size, skill set, and the intangibles the Patriots would be looking for at QB. And it appears that they could get him at the 49ers pick as things stand right now,

I’m not at all opposed to the Patriots double dipping at QB and letting them fight it out over the next couple of years.

This guy has tremendous accuracy. IMO that stat trumps all in evaluating next level talent. Not height not hand size none of that other BS. While most compare him to Manziel I think he more closely comparable with Brees/Wilson

I don’t know about anyone else but this may be the most interesting offseason for the Patriots and the league as a whole that we have seen in years. I’m actually looking forward to watching it unfold, tons of questions and big decisions to be made. The QB situations in Jacksonville and Minnesota will be really interesting, both have major decisions to make. I really want the Jags to bring Eli in, that could set them back years.

I don’t see how the Jags can go away from Bortles now. I think it’s more likely that they move up in the draft to try and snag a QB.

That makes sense but I think Coughlin has a woody for Eli and he could make a push to bring him in.

Eli is not a good QB, but it's hard to tell if he truly is "done" based on last season. His OL was utter trash (probably the worst in the league) and he lost his top two wideouts to injury and had Sterling Shepard and a JAG unit as his receiving corps at the end of the season.

I agree, that’s why I think Coughlin may make the push for him. I don’t think there’s anyone who believes in him more than Coughlin, and I think a Coughlin is smart enough to realize that Bortles will never lead a team to a Lombardi.

There are many QBs to be had in this draft. Hope NE grabs one in 1st-2nd round.

I’d be happy with Baker if BB thinks he can win in the NFL.

If we don't draft one in the first round, Brady will outlast HIS rookie deal as well.

He’s done. Ignore the excuses and watch him play. Losing his receivers just gave him San excuse, he sucked before they got hurt too.

Here is a crazy thought since Bortles was reportedly ranked ahead of Jimmy Garapollo by us could we make a play for Blake Bortles when Brady's career is done?
I know it's horrifying compared to what we had in Jimmy but it's a thought.
I also really like AJ Mcarron and he could be had cheaper I believe just some thoughts.
The rookie class out of the top 10 doesn't inspire me.

Yes. I think the keep Bortles for the last year and move up in the draft.

Bortles cannot process the mental aspects quick enough ... talk about a system QB ... it is Bortles. He needs a high caliber QB and a stiff RB crew to survive in the NFL.

Bortles, like Foles, can only hit receivers that are wide open. Ask them to consistently lead receivers and pu the ball into tight windows and they will turn into turnover machines.

Draft two QB’s either in this draft or over the next two draft’s and let them fight it out. If neither pan out go free agent.
