While I agree we need to wait and see Boutte's side of the story, we are just a wee bit past the point of this being something "some local beat reporter gets wind of and puts on paper to make a name for himself." The arrest warrant specifically mentions their investigation methods and that he was betting on LSU games in which he participated.

I am sure there would be kids in the upcoming draft desperate to get a single chance on an NFL team. If Boutte has the wrong attitude then bin him and give another rookie a chance.
