Bob McNair gets his pound of flesh

His team got a pound of flesh up their asses on national television last night. I laughed out loud when the camera showed him looking like he was about to puke as he was watching his prized possession getting raped.

That was some statement made tonight by the team owned by Bob "I refuse to read the Wells Report but will gladly **** on the Patriots" McNair. Quite a performance speaking to the integrity of the game and leveling the playing field.

Go mouth off to reporters on your long, embarrassing plane ride home, you scummy, self-righteous d-bag.

Classless.

I'm convinced that this is EXACTLY the attitude the other 31 owners have with regard to the Patriots.

Some of them are self-made men like McNair, Jerruh, Paul Allen, Blank and Biscotti who are reasonably old, incredibly wealthy and highly competitive. They have nothing left to chase in their lives and winning (and making more money) is IT. It's all they have.

Then you have the "ThanksDad" crowd like Mara, Woody, Bidwell and Lurie that are handed a Rolls Royce and expect others to give them what they want.

The common trait is that they are sore losers and when it comes to losing they can't handle it because in their lives they've rarely lost and it drives them bonkers.

During Deflategate if the owners told Goody to stand down he would have. Obviously they did no such thing and it's coming back to haunt them big time....and they can't stand it.

Screw them. Enjoy 8-8 a-hole.

Didn't hear **** from him tonight. ;P
Was he hurt or something don't recall seeing him out there? Oh wait that couldn't be the case because he would have made sure everyone knew about how tough he is.

not sure the title's right

I don't think the author understands the expression

The term comes from The Merchant of Venice. It was supposed to be ironic because the pound of flesh was getting to play the Patriots without Brady. This was his vengeance here.

It’s fine that McNair can’t seem to be bothered to learn the trivial details about a failed investigation that tried to determine whether the Patriots let a few hisses of air out of footballs in a game they won by 35 points. But unlike uninformed sports talk radio callers or egg-headed avatars on Twitter, McNair’s words carry weight. When he perverts the details of the case to the degree he did Tuesday, people listen.

hmmm...still not sure it works too well. some suggestions:

Bob McNair awaiting his pound of flesh; instead the Texans get their flesh pounded

Bob McNair gets his pound of flesh served to him in a slice of humble pie

If its supposed to be ironic, nobody got it. Its supposed to be recompense but recompense that is excessive, it doesnt really seem to make sense here

Actually that was a misquote. It really was "Osweiler's everything Elway thought he'd be".

He could be everything they thought he'd be, as long as they thought he'd be a fairly ****ty quarterback.
