Bob Kraft on the 'haters'

So he's going to play for an owner who betrayed him? That's not giving someone your power that's straight up weak. If my company bailed on me the way people contend Kraft did to Brady I'd be flipping burgers somewhere else within the week.
flipping burgers? Tough job!

I will Kraft or BB credit for switching most of Brady's salary to bonus saving him millions of dollars . That at least was some compensation for the withchunt.

The only point I'd disagree with is that money doesn't put anyone on a different plane on a personal level. But if you're referring to the fact Kraft, Brady and other mega wealthy people live in a different world than us common folk, I agree.

And to be honest, if I ever won $300 million in the lottery, it would scare me. Not that I'd refuse the money, I'd just be afraid I'd become someone different

I hear ya and fully agree. Let's put it this way. He and Gisele built their Chestnut Hill home next to RAK........not next to any of us who have been "defending the wall".

There are hundreds of rich enclaves in the Boston/Providence area he could have chosen for his and Gisele's home. He chose RAK's backyard. He has not been shy about building and then leaving within a year a new multi-million dollar mansion (hello, LA). He's ensconced in his neighborhood, next to the man he wants to live next to.

That should say volumes.

He, doesn't feel as personally stabbed in the back as all the Pats fans here are projecting him to feel. It's amazing how some here simply do not get it.

For most rational Patriots fans - if they didn't have their eyes open to the reality of the NFL ownership cabal before the Deflategate fiasco - they shouldn't definitely have woken up shortly after.

BoB Kraft's No.1 priority is, and always has been, the group of 32. Its all NFL - all day.

Once you accept that, it all makes sense and you don't have to be quite so angry.

Brady is enough of a pragmatist to know this.

Goodell is a sock puppet for a group of rick, greedy men who use him as a convenient and well paid meat shield.

It's certainly worth the money the pay him to take all that flak.

My heart is with guys like Brady, Belichick and Edelman - guys like Kraft are almost a different species.
April 1st, 2008: "I'm sorry we damaged the league...Coach Belichick yes did break the rules and we cheated and he is an arrogant prick...I respect you guys so much...*sniff..."

You're the GOAT

F*ck you!F*ck you!

Many say the last perfect human died over 2,0000 years ago

Mistakes in life are the springboards for those who LEARN from their mistakes.

Mistakes are IMPORTANT to experience.

Stephen Covey would have stated unequivocably that what separates winners from losers is not who makes mistakes - - but how one LEARNS from them.

Right on!

um...in Kraft's case...well...you have to be aware of, acknowledge, understand, accept and admit it first...before you can learn anything.

Like,

Holding all the players, coaches, and fans for 33 years responsible for the original owner's shortcomings

Accepting 100% a complete smear campaign/witch hunt/railroading/lynching of your prized head coach and team in 2007, along with an historically unprecedented Judah Ben-Hur-to-the-galleys and death to his family punishment and apologizing for it

Desperately pretending that your team on the field from 1994-2000 was somehow better than their predecessors (when in reality they weren't even as good) just because you spent the money to buy the team and build a stadium

I think he sees Kraft as a father figure in some ways. Kraft is a caring and giving man, so he's worth looking up to in my opinion

The whole idea that Kraft would unequivocally not have a legal remedy open to him (i.e. that Kraft "couldn't sue the league") is absurd. People are relying on uninformed media types for the proposition, and they shouldn't. These people haven't gone over the contract, considered any implied terms, etc. And the majority of them saying this aren't even lawyers.

Nobody contracts to deal in bad faith, I'll accept that as invariably true. So notwithstanding whatever non-suit clause might be in there, it is entirely possible a court would accept that clause was subject to an exception, the exception being that the NFL not act in bad faith, or not act fraudulently, what have you. Edit: I'm sure a number of you have heard the phrase "fraud unravels everything", that's a legal rule. What happened here was fraud.

For weeks I'd tell anyone who would listen that Kessler took the wrong legal strategy to the appeal. Stephanie Stradley made an almost identical argument following the appeal court decision. You all seemed to agree with her.

Just stop believing it is an unassailable fact that Kraft could not sue the league. The only unassailable fact is that Kraft would have been too much of a coward to do it.

More fnord straw man crap.

There are plenty of things Bendover Bob could have done w/o a lawsuit that would have indicated he was something other than Bendover Bob:
  • Done the internal appeal (doomed though it may have been) so people couldn't say "he knew it happened -- he didn't even appeal."
  • Not made that ridiculous "we accept it" speech.
  • Not constantly playing kissyface with Roger.
  • Being way more supportive of Brady from the beginning. I still remember his ridiculous "Well, I hope those players who deserve to play will be playing" remark before the 2015 opener. The loser couldn't even mention Brady by name.
  • Going on a real PR offensive.
  • Not kowtowing to the "here are the real PSI numbers but you can't tell anyone -- hahahaha" letter from the NFL.
People here can think of plenty of other non-lawsuit stuff that could have happened.
Clearly from the HBO Fake Sports Kremer interview, Robert Kraft is driven solely by proving he's better than Billy Sullivan.

He does not care about players, coaches, staff, families, or fans from the first 33 years of the franchise.

He desperately keeps trying to sell his 1994-2000 on field product as better than its predecessors in the 60's, 70's, and 80's, even though it wasn't, including anointing Who Said So as the G.O.A.T. in 2001.

He persists in believing that NFL leaders are upstanding, responsible, nonbiased people; apparently blissfully unaware to this day of local and national media-fueled anti-Patriots contempt which has existed since fifteen years before he bought the team.

He believes and promotes the fantasy that the slander and denigration which he allowed and encouraged against his coach and team is the result of "jealousy and envy", despite the fact that the Packers, Steelers, 49ers, Cowboys, and Giants have never been the recipients of such hatred even though they've won too.
