Lost to Tannehill as well. Forgot about that one.
Plummer
Elix2
Flaccox2
Sanchez
Foles
Tannehill

At least in the other games they were not good enough going in or crazy stuff happened. That Jets loss was inexplicable. Long haired Tom Brady was not good in the postseason.

It’s still not the Chiefs. So I’d be into it. Nothing can be worse than the last few years.
But at least it's a team people hate. And an elite QB. Storylines are important.

Yes, exactly.

Anyone celebrating this hasn't seen Jarrett Stidham lately, and why he should have been starting over Bo Nix.

I really hope I'm wrong on this, but I see the GDT flooded with 'How do you let Jarrett Stidham" blah blah blah.

You’ve seen Jarrett lately?????? Is that a joke????

You mean the Jarrett Stidham who has thrown 5 passes for 4 yards over the past 2 seasons in Denver?????

Plrease tell us which Jarrett Stidham you are referring to.

.

Completely forgot about the 09 Flacco loss. Didn’t he throw for like 60 yards in that game? Lmao

So at this point there is a real chance of a Darnold v. Stidham Super Bowl.

Can you imagine if someone had said that 2 years ago?

What a nightmare SB that would be. Just so boring.

I personally wouldn’t mind watching a good defensive battle but yea itd be a pretty rough matchup for the nfls interests. 2 teams nobody really gives a **** about and neither qb doing much of anything

Pats lost to Brock Osweiller and Jake Plummer.
Stidham playing doesn't change the D, STs or Donks running game.
Gotta beat the 85 Bears tomorrow first.
How many of the Broncos WRs will be out next week?

Pats may get to face LAC without any no tackles, Houston with no Collins, Denver with no Nix.

Even if they make the super bowl the narrative that they didn't play anyone this year and don't really deserve it will persist unless they win it all vs a healthy Seahawks team. Even making it will be considered not much of an accomplishment.

Edit: Not my opinion btw... speaking of the narrative others will build. Though the path is relatively easy as superbowl paths go, even a strong Pats support must admit as much.
NAH. If every team that went 4-13 the previous season could go 14-3 and make the playoffs they all would be doing it.

It's just not though.

Preseason defense is vanilla, backups, and players are just then starting to play and still getting into shape.

Nix just showed he could do what's necessary for his team against many defenses, including a post-season heavyweight in the Bills. I don't think we have any reason to believe Stidham has that.

Stidham will be facing the end-season form of the Patriots' defense, who just walked Herbert like a ****in dog on a leash lol.

Not even 60. He went 4/10 for 34 yards.

Ray Rice went 80+ yards on the first drive from scrimmage, Brady fumbled on 3rd and 11 on the subsequent drive, the Ratbirds scored again, and the game was pretty much over at that point.

Nick Foles was an excellent backup with limited starting experience, thanks to teams bringing in high-priced FAs and first round picks over him.

He did ok.
Come on Tommy.
Foles played in 54 NFL games before leading the Eagles to the SB.
In 2013 he set the NFL record for best td to int ratio with a 27/2 mark.
Stidham has 8 NFL tds and 8 ints.
Foles has 82 NFL tds.
You're really comparing Stidham to Foles?

We’ve lost to Mark Sanchez. Joe Flacco. Eli twice. Nick Foles… should I keep going?

I look past nobody in the playoffs.

All of those QB's were starters at some point, if not most of their career, and had runs of winningness in the NFL, multiple times over long careers. Even Foles. The dude went 8-2 in games he started as an Eagle in 2013** (edit: wrong year, fixed)

There is no reason to compare them to Stidham. It is not the same situation.

What a nightmare of a game. It was 24-0 in a blink.

Lol. It would be hilarious if Stidham won a Super Bowl
If we lose tomorrow yes. But I won’t be laughing if it comes at our expense.

Also, **** Sean Payton. I don’t want him getting that satisfaction.
