Black Monday thread: the NFL Coaching Carousel

It looked questionable early but they seemed to come on later in the year. Mills looks promising. If Caserio can flip Watson for a haul, they might go places. That is, if Easterby doesn't ruin it.
I think Nick has Easterbunny in a corner sucking his thumb passing out copies of 7 Habits of Highly Successful People to the staff.

Isn't Indy regarded as having a very good OL?

I thought the pass protection wasn’t as good as the run blocking. WRs were nothing special either. Of course, I don’t love Wentz either.

I think the piss poor offensive play calling and in game decisions were the reasons for Fangios firing. They were down by 7 with under 5 minutes left yesterday. They were driving and the drive stalled. Instead of going for it they kicked a FG. Now down by 4. Still need a flippin TD to win. They kicked off. Never got the ball back. KC ran out the clock. For some reason the expert announcers never commented on this at the time.
Team was out fo the playoffs with nothing to lose and they still just kicked the FG. I think these type of head scratchers were typical of his time here.

I thought he did a pretty good job of keeping the Broncos competitive too, but that decision alone says he's living in 50's football.

I know it shouldn't count for anything, but he doesn't look like he inspires confidence.

This is a questionable. Donkeys played hard yesterday and they have an excellent D. Fangio needs a QB.

Donks late 4th Qtr Red Zone fumble for a loooong KC return TD was brutal. Donks were ahead and on a roll.

Yep; not Fangio’s fault that two of his jabronis couldn’t keep their greasy hands on the football… Though there was also the 3rd/20 thingy…

Is it just me or is the annual coaching carousel in the NFL about as entertaining as the draft, maybe moreso.
The intrigue of the mix & match game.
While I'm not always thrilled with JMD's calls, I still don't want him to go anywhere. I think stability is super important for Mac in these first few years. And, I can't see how Mayo would be ready for HC job yet. Can't we learn from Judge, that when you don't hold a coordinator role first, it's pretty tough to succeed in the NFL as a HC. (Harbaugh is an anomaly)
Flores adds to the list of failed BB disciples turned HC.
Weis, Crenel, BOB, JMD, Patricia, Flores...

Mac has regressed the last 6 weeks. McD needs to go. Bring back O'Brien or O'Shea

I know he won't be fired, but one has to question the job Frank Reich did this year......all the talk last off season was "Indy is a QB away from the Superbowl" - they got the QB, they missed the playoffs

I am So ****ing Glad that those evil blood Clots missed the POs… They shouldn’t have made them anyway, because THE ****ING PATRIOTS SHOULD’VE BEATEN THEM TOO.

I stopped watching when the Queef started running, so I didn’t see any of the final 7:55… But yeah that’s ****ing puzzy sh!t right there, kicking a ****ing FG.

I wouldn't call Flores a failure. Seems like he was let go over internal matters w/ GM.

I don't even know what O'Shea is doing these days
He's the WR coach and "passing game coordinator" for the Browns, which is an awfully fancy title given that he doesn't call plays and the offensive coordinator above him doesn't even call plays.

The Utah punt returner, who declared for the draft, is the grandson, possibly great grandson of the author of that book.
His parents each had something like 10 siblings and he has something like 60 first cousins. Don’t remember the exact details but they brought it up during the pac12 CG

Don’t worry, Frank Reich will always have fond memories looking back on rerunning the Philly Special again this year, for no reason. That’s definitely more consoling and comforting than actually preparing your team to play the Jacksonville Jaguars with an interim HC that lost by 40 points the week earlier in a game that wasn’t even that close.

Well he had a losing record and zero playoff appearances….
And many failures lose their job over “matters” with their boss.
