As I posted in another topic

Brady (6 games)
11 TDs
4 INTs
227 YPG (6.9 Avg)
96.0 Rating

Fitzpatrick (4 games)
11 TDs
4 INTs
242 YPG (7.3 Avg)
102.0 Rating

Can Fitzpatrick be the Bills QB of the future? Looks like it might have not been just our defense and this guy is turning into a player.

Call me when he wins a game.

That being said, for what he has around him, he's done a very good job.

Do you think the Bills would take Brady and a 7th for this stud ?

Certainly a stretch, but i noted that Buffalo, and him in particular looked pretty sharp against us. They've got a case of loser syndrome and bad decisions over the years, but they picked a winner there IMO.

Of course, teams will start studying him, so the jury's out.

That's not the point of the topic.

Point is, the Bills who are regarded as a team who need a QB have one who is playing on par with the highest paid player int he league.

The kid has a lot to work on....and the hair, just too feathered without a natural flow

6 games, that's enough for me. Hall of fame for sure

Seriously though he is playing pretty good.

The Sullivans back in the day would have loved to have a starting QB named Fitzpatrick

What the hell was with the sarcasm on this board? Instead of the "OH WOW YEAH HES JUST AMAZING, PUT HIM IN THE HALL OF FAME!" sarcastic nonsense try to actually respond.

I don't know how. Never written anything positive about the Bills before.
OK....here goes.....Free the Juice

Wow, he's only 27. I thought he was like 35 and an old veteran backup hack.

Who knows, he has no weapons and those are pretty good stats.

See. That was a positive response. I'll try again. Those buffalo fans......I LOVE FAT PEOPLE

I have a friend who is a Bills fan. I'll send him a copy of this thread to cheer him up.

that's funny you made this thread, since i had just updated my greatest QB ever list. I then looked and saw this great thread so i figured i'd share my top 5.

1.) Ryan Fitzpatrick
2.) Joe Montana
3.) Tom Brady
4.) Billy Joe Hobert
5.) Billy Joe Tolliver

Ever since that game against us i was sold on Fitzpatrick being a decent QB. I mean, he plays for the bills but you cant underestimate him though. He drove that ball up the field easily against baltimore yesterday.

I give it to him, i give him his credit, he's looking good. i thought Spiller would have a better year than he's having though lol

Remember Derek Anderson - he was a pro bowl QB one season. It's called an anomoly. Jay Cutler too. I think the guy Ryan replaced had the Jills off to one heck of a start a couple of years ago, they were division contenders that season through the first 8 games... Garrard... heck, Palmer... Guys catch lightening in a bottle on bad teams that other team don't take seriously. Once the league catches up...the party's over.

To be considered playing on par with Brady he's gonna have to maintain at this level for about 8-9 seasons...

I did follow up with "seriously, he is playing pretty good" didn't I?

Prior to this last game against the Raven Fitzpatrick had

7tds
2int
184ypg (5.9ypp)
And he was rated as just below replacement level by DVOA.

I think this is a matter of one game skewing a small sample size until we see more consistent play out of him. So no, he is not playing on par with Brady.

Here's a thought, New England and the Ravens both said that last weeks game was very physical. It went to overtime. Both teams struggled the following week against teams with bad records. Any chance both squads were physically/emotionally hungover from the week before and played poorly as a result?
