This is amazing. Butler and Gilmore with DMC roaming around. We could potentially have the #1 defense
Already did it

There is the attachment aspect and that Butler is a homegrown talent...but if the return is Gilmore and Cooks or Gilmore and a first...hard to be distraught about that.

Of course I'd prefer Malcolm stay on board for another season. We'd have one of if not the best secondary in the league.
There is also the root for the underdog effect as well as the love of the guy who made the game ending play in the SB.

Gilmore has been used to Rex bringing the house the entire game as well. You have to think he's happy he'll have these players called safeties above him every now and then.

I'm not all that excited to read about attitude problems he might have had in Buffalo but I expect things will be different here. Good pickup.

Gilmore makes a lot of sense, we needed the size. But im not sure im a fan if Butler is gone. Well if we can get a 1st to replace him i guess we will be fine but still..i like a butler.

Nice of the titans to announce they think they are front runners. Especially with a guy who it is strongly believe will give a chance to match any offer to his current team.

I feel like Hightower is a goner. Thing is, good as he is, he is used very much to his strengths here. I think elsewhere he'll be asked to do too much and be a bust. He's got a very specific role here and it fits him perfectly. Also, he's been playing hurt for like 3 years now. A lot of wear and tear, could be like Mayo all over again.

i dont remember gilmore being a big factor in games vs the pats. i really hope this isnt' a butler replacement

Wonder if the Gilmore signing will have any influence on Hightower choosing to stay and be part of a potentially gr8 defense.

Gilmore gives the Pats that big CB to take on the elite big receivers in the League. Ryan did a good job with many of them, but he ain't Gilmore in that respect.
Exactly this. The SBLI match ups support your point.

5 Years.
