Didn't someone cash a 100k cheque for something similar, except with the Jets back up QB? Under 20k sounds good to me! My kids don't need to go to college anyway.

To be honest, 20k was my upper-upper limit and I promised my wife I wouldn't go higher. But it was moot, since I have a couple of overseas trips planned in the fall and couldn't bid until I saw the schedule anyway, which came out after the contest closed.

I see what you meant by the bidding ending before the schedule being released now. Yes, I would agree that they may have been able to increase the bidding a bit by waiting.
