BGC PTP BOARD 2025

The team seems obsessed with talking about having healthy debates. Debates and open discussions are fine with me, but I am not sure why it is so important to the Pats to talk about this so much.
Because Bill didn't . The Krafts are still obsessed with Not Being Bill Anymore.

I'm not saying the "journey or process" isn't different but the conclusion is the same imo. I know it's cool to say "we have a new approach" but the prospects selected were no different if Bill were here. I literally have been studying on trends, posting ptp boards and looking into how we did things the entire time Bill was here. This draft or last year's were no different.

We took an underdog outlier at 4.
A RB with our 2nd pick (best pick in our draft btw)
An undersized burner with little production in RD 3
A Center
We reached for a Saf in RD 4
Hit on good value with Farmer and Swinson.
Drafted a K and like the 5th rated LS.

Yea tell me how this is sooooooo different from what Bill would have done given the state of the team, needs etc I'm not saying this like it's a good or bad thing but this draft had Bill all over it imo.

I would have loved to see him here as a guard. Think he's a borderline pro bowl kind of talent. But Henderson should give us something we haven't had in a long while. Explosiveness on offense was lacking last year. Interesting to watch those two careers.
Henderson was one of my highest rated prospects this year. He's got top 10-12 potential imo. He's electric with the ball in his hands. He's a versatile runner who can get dropped in almost any scheme. One of the better pass blocking rbs over the last few drafts. And has a lot of upside in the rec game.

But yea him and Saviinaea should be watched. Along with Noel and Williams. And anyone drafted after The Professor" as well. Draft really ends after round 4 but drafting the 5th rated LS is questionable too.

My comment was in response to why are the pats obsessed with telling everyone they debate.

Yes but you said Bill lol sooo ....... but you're right he didn't. They're making a point to do so.

The thing that stands out about all this is that long snappers are even ranked. What a world.

yea I draw the line at kickers so I definitely don't have time for ls lol. ironically kickers and ol have the biggest gaps between teams and talent. That's the biggest gaps in terms of talent. Most QBs aren't mature enough to be difference makers and everyone has talented wr and rb. Kickers and OL are where you see the big gap between one team and another.

Really great stuff.

Assumptions:

1. FA is an irrational market.

2. There is a large element of luck involved in the draft.

3. You may think you know what other teams will do, but you don't.

4. There is no guarantee that the player you would consider moving up for will be better than the one who falls to you.

Very smart strategy.

You do sometimes get the sense that teams have a decent idea what other teams will do. afor example, #26 the Rams was considered a likely team to choose a QB. The Giants traded up to #25 with Houston and took QB Jaxson Dart, and the Rams immediately traded back. Seems suspicious.

But most of the time we can't predict. Everyone had Carolina taking Jalon Walker at #8, pretty much no one had NO taking Kelvin Banks at #9, or Chicago taking Colston Loveland at #10.
