note to bb: San Fran is taking Jones at 3! So do the next best thing and trade up to 11 and take waddle. Do not leave the first round of this draft without waddle!

waddle is a match up nightmare. Put fear into the rest of the afc East defenses and take waddle! Tour competitors in the at. East have spent the past two years laughing at your putrid offense, so get your revenge and put the fear of waddle in them!
He just paid big bucks for 2TEs and 2 WRs. He’s drafting for depth at target # 5 (unless White is in, then #6). Not sure that position would be prioritized that high in comparison to other depth needs (RT, DE/LB, FS, CB). Will still be exciting WRs available later. I like Amari Rodgers).

jesus look at the way he separates. His college tape screams Tyreek Hill level explosiveness. Game changing ability In the open field. Meanwhile, my grandfather with his cane could run down Harriet.

our current WRs are known for not being able to separate from man coverage cause they are very slow

Somebody send this video to bb! Our offense needs waddle!

if bb passes up the opportunity to draft waddle, he must be tested for early onset of “Jets”himer!

Agree with 1-2-3. The only other QB hungry teams ahead of us are Carolina and possibly Denver. I hope the Panthers take Lance at 8.

So then it all boils down to whether Denver takes a QB or not. Lock is pretty good. If they pass, Jones falls to us at 15.
I think that the Jets aren't taking a QB.
Denver is solidly behind Lock as their QB.

I think that there one of the top 5 teams ends up taking Jones.

Disagree with Denver and Lock. If the right QB is there I bet Denver takes them. Jets are going to take a QB as well seeing as Wilson looks to be the real deal. Having Darnold to deal out or use to let Wilson ease into playing is a nice luxury to have. In the best case scenario Mac Jones would fall down to the Pats but I am thinking this will not happen.

The best hope for the Pats is to do some trading after the draft to see what they can get from other teams. Sam Darnold might be available. And I don't know why someone does not give Minshew a real shot at starting. He is definitely on the cusp of being a starter already. I'd like to see the guy get a chance to either succeed or fail before being relegated to a back up for his entire NFL career.

If the Jets don’t take a QB, they’ll probably end up at 8, trading with Carolina. And if Denver doesn’t take one either, then we could have our pick of 2 QBs at 15.

But I think the Jets have to take one and restart that rookie QB salary scale. They could move down to 8 and still get a QB. Miami could shock everyone and take a QB at 6, with all the picks they have.

I feel as though the Jets will take a QB in part because doing so would be detrimental to the Patriots.

The Jets could get a boat load of picks by trading with Carolina and be set up for years to come. Plus still be able to take a qb at 8 that is better than darnold!

this is such a smart move, that there is no way the Jets would do it,

I am curious what your guys QB rankins are and where you predict them going.
Here's what I guess:
1. Lawrence- Jags
2. Wilson- Jets
3. Fields- 49ers
4. Lance- whoever picks at 4
5. Jones- top 10 pick i think except Carolina trades up to 4 and the NEP, WFT, Bears not trading up for Jones
My personal rankings and where I think they’ll actually go:

1. Trevor Lawrence - Jaguars at 1st overall

2. Justin Fields - 49ers at 3rd overall

3. Trey Lance - Panthers at 8th overall

(sorry, couldn’t find a jersey swap for him)

4. Mac Jones - Bears via trade up shortly after Lance is taken

5. Zach Wilson - Jets at 2nd overall

I’ve liked Lawrence a lot since his freshman year, should have a great career. The more I learn about Fields, the more I like his chances of being a star in the league. Lance is the riskiest but has very glowing comps (Mahomes, McNair, Luck, Dak) and has a bright future ahead of him. We just might not see it until next year. Jones the least athletic of this group but one of the safest to be a solid NFL starter, maybe more with the right team around him. Wilson’s comps concern me some (Lock, Plummer) and he struggled against quality opponents just like Lock did. I’m probably wrong about him since talent evaluators rank him much higher but I can’t shake the feeling he might be the Todd Blackledge of this group. Chris Simms thinks he’s the next Mahomes or Rodgers so take my rankings with a grain of salt.

Full disclosure, I’d be excited if the Pats got any of these five QBs. Law of averages say at least one of them is going to bust though, and sometimes it’s one of the higher ranked consensus guys.

I would be happy with Fields or Lance. So really hoping that was the 49ers going up for Jones.

Yup, i think there could be competition for the 4th spot esp. if their guy is still there after the 9ers pick. Panthers tried to trade aggressive for Watson, did not work out, and they said they are only better qb play away from being 8-9 Wins, so i guess they will try aggressive in draft again. From 8 to 4 it's not that much if their guy is still there. I don't think Denver trades up but i don't think they are sold on Lock either. He is a turnover machine. They got him top WR last year and he managed 16 TD and 15 INT with 8 Fumbles (lost 3). Completion of 57 %. I mean he is still young and i think they will give him another chance but they could still draft one.

What if they only view Lawrence Wilson and Fields as possible QBOTF. If they trade down to 8 they are left with the rest at qb. Like the 5th qb on the board could be. Darnold doesn't look like the guy. I wouldn't give up on him yet cause their supporting cast coaching etc wasn't at a high level so far but you gotta take a franchise qb if you are in position without trade up. They have some WR and the BPA at 8 is maybe a WR or LB
this is such a smart move, that there is no way the Jets would do it,

Nevermind

This is going to be a breathtaking take here (not really), but anyway...
If the draft somehow goes:
1. Lawrence
2. Wilson
3. Mac
If those reports are true about our interest in Fields, I personally see BB giving the Falcons whatever they want for #4. BB don’t give a $hi& what anyone thinks, or what it will take to get the guy he wants.
If Fields goes top 3, we trade down and pickup a pick in the 65-80 range. Just my opinion, which amounts to very little.

Someone asked me to post more of my notes so I'll do w/e I can. I started grading though so trying to finish up and really move onto 2022. Have about 10 QB's done. Once I see the testing results it takes about 10 minutes so I just put it up after.

Bobby Brown
Big man with some bounce in his step. Inconsistent but plays with some juice. Off the snap, good movements for his size. Not the quickest has enough juice off the line tho.

Needs improvement but his leverage is + trait. 6'4? but does nice job staying low. He'll show colors to one side & reads play well. Eyes are on ball and up - flash colors and fills gap. Can anchor, 2 gap but needs to get stronger overall, footwork is inconsistent but flashes. Only 20? Ask someone smarter about his play recognition. Good enough for me rn tho?? Not bad. Run specifically on gap/zone? Good tho.

Stays low and jolts with hands. Not much plan or variety but only 20? Wants to burst and extend or work half man. Has some nice movements can work around his man with a little space / time. Hands improve with some strength and he's on his way. Decent placement. Everything here could improve a lot.

Could be more patient. Needs to stay in the play at all times. Doesn't sell out but wants to do a lot at times and will look lost others?

Has to develop more moves and tools to pull out his bag. Has to get stronger but will look different at 23-24?! Flashes - inconsistent but when it happens he looks like a pro. Get him big buddy mentor and strength coach.

Upside - *could be* solid NT behind and at los. Once strength improves has ability to reset / impact at poa - might be able to work some linemen eventually with quicks, leverage and hands. Can move laterally but footwork isn't there yet full-time. Could play shade. 3T with good muscle.
