I'll use this thread to talk about and breakdown potential IDL/PTP. Honestly not doing cartwheels over this class just yet. Definitely NFL-caliber/talent. Impact, game changers?
Actually see few potential natural 0-1 Tech. Shelvin and Slaton are 2 down players at least short teem next level but both are super intriguing. Shelvin doesn't budge an inch, doesn't wear down and is nasty af. Same for Slaton except way less consistent. Campbell is another Florida boy who is more of an athletic 3tech. Supposedly scouts love Tufele, & Twyman. Both worth a look. Twyman really flashed last year. Decent first step, pad level and power but lower half really pushed on through on occasion to finish. Hoping to see a more athletic product this year.
This is definitely one of the those years you want double check you're tape and make sure these guys can play next level. I have a feeling someone explodes onto the scene, who knows.

How I've graded the position over the years ...

Wilson is such a baller

LO does a really good job at getting off blocks, not letting anyone engage him for too long. He's in/out trying to make a play. Usually lower than the man in front of him. + play strength although you'll want to see him add a few lbs. Definitely someone to keep an eye on that isn't a "name" yet but in my top tier this early.

On my PTP list. NFL supposedly likes him a lot. I'm a big fan. Just seems like he's be a good fit. Big time hands. Violent but strong grip to control. + Motor/Effort. Look at his movements, so agile for a big man. Can two gap, has an anchor.

After 5 games I do not have a first round grade on barmore of Alabama. He is on skates too much for that.

I don't love this class

Like the brothers from WVU. Esp Darius.

Yeah way to inconsistent and not discipline with his assignments

There are a few guys i really like..Twyman as an undersized DT with huge Pass Rush Upgrade, Shelvin as an 2 down NT, Mathis as an 2 down NT/heavy 3 tech..Marvin Wilson is interesting

I read some evaluation where sbd said that Wilson plays disappointing esp in Pass rush. Some sources See him more of a Run stuffer than every down linemen. Of course there are few more games to play so it can Change. If we are looking for interior Pass Rush than i would watch into Twyman and Barmore. There are different opinions on how Barmore is playing so far. Notched 2 Sacks if I remember right but some sources want more Run stuff From him. Twyman is undersized and opted out but he has some decent technique.

Wilson has absolutely been quiet this year, but watch his 2019 film, outstanding

Thats why he is on my list as well but he needs to step up otherwise he has no 1/2 round talent to me.

Last game he played on fire I believe but before that yea his tape was quiet.

It will be very interesting to see shelvin former of LSU at the combine. He is a wide body and excellent run stuffer.

I just looked at Draft Network player rankings (small sample size) and they show 1 x IDL in Top 32 , 4 in top 50 and 8 in top 100. I do think we need some help at this position but based on this one example would this be classed as a weak year for IDL ???? Just trying to get a perspective into how this could be measured/interpreted (appreciate other player rankings sites may show something different).

Their are probably Not 2 guys who get drafted somewhere near Brown or Kinlaw i would guess. Wilson who was maybe the top prospect coming into the season did not live up to higher expectations this season, too inconsistent. My favourite guy for an every down linemen Jaylen Twyman has opted out which can hurt a draft stock. My favourite NT Shelvin opted out..He and David Who plays really well against the run should be good two down linemen NT type. Barmore with Pass rush upside idk he is Not playing as i hope he would..

I have watched several byu games and have yet to notice much from Tonga.
There was some chatter about him last year, but he opted to stay in school.

maybe he ate his way out of the first two days of the draft.
