Best and Worst trades of the BB era

Brady bears no responsibility, not for AB, Sanu, not for getting Arians fired. Fanboys can’t be consistent.
It's a players game now more than ever

FFS, did we really need to feed the trolls with another thread like this? We definitively don’t need more dwelling on the past here.

Yeah. The board is way too active with too many other good threads. Astute point, as always.

It’s literally your chance to come here crying… N’Keal wasn’t a trade, stick to topic.

But September on Patriot’s forums are usually negative nancy paradise.

…says the guy who every year now disappears in November to hide under his mom’s bed until the offseason.

Bill has had some unbelievable gems, Wes Welker, Danny Amendola, Talib, Moss, Dillon.

Was Nick Folk a trade or FA?

If they keep bashing Bill for his endless F ups, sooner or later someone important will listen and fire his geriatric ass. Then we will have a nice, fun coach who gives eloquent answers at pressers and a GM who will cater to everyone's fantasy whims. Don't care about Lombardi's, we got enough of those.

Add to it that Light, Slater, Wilfork, Gronk, Edelman, Hightower, Mayo, Chung and Bennett came here VIA pick swaps

I was just talking trades not draft choices. But yes, Bennett was another awesome one. Helped us win the SB that year.

I consider trading a pic for another pic a trade

As the losses pile up, the media will start looking at the past like they did in 2020.

The first one should not qualify. They didn’t trade for “Chad Jackson”. They traded for the "pick".

The Sanu trade should be #1. That put the nail in that coffin on the dynasty. Bill wrongly thought he was competing for Sanu with Kyle Shanahan, but Kyle had immediately dropped out when Dimetroff told him a 2nd rounder. Dimetroff probably felt great coming out well in that deal before he got fired.

The handling of Stephon Gilmore was bad. Very amateurish and should’ve been listed.

Deion Branch for a 1st rounder was better value than expected. However, trading him and letting Givens go on the verge of a 3 peat was a mistake.

Starks should be higher. He was awful.

Here's my best so far in no order:

1. Corey Dillon for a 2nd rounder.
2. Randy Moss for a 4th rounder.
3. Wes Welker. Very controversial trade for a 2nd rounder who was an unknown guy.
4. Akiem Hicks for Michael Hoomanawanui. This was straight up theft.
5. Drew Bledsoe for a 1st rounder.
6. Deion Branch for a 1st rounder.
7. Aquib Talib for a 4th rounder.
8. Martellus Bennett for a 4th rounder.
9. Getting their 1st rounder back after trading Brandin Cooks to the Rams.
10. Ted Washington for a 4th rounder. They don't run the 3-4 in 2003 without him.

Other good trades not mentioned already
- Demps + 7th rounder to Bucs for LeGarrette Blount
- Moving up to draft Chandler Jones
- Moving up to draft Donta Hightower
- Trading a 2003 first rounder to the Ravens for a second rounder and a first rounder the following year which they used to draft Wilfork

He also traded Seymour which got us a #1 and we took Mayo with that pick.
