Patriots Player Departure Bentley released

It’s almost like you didn't watch Bill coach for 18 years. This is one of the more rediculous statements I've seen made on Patsfans and that says a lot.
Sorry if reality is too difficult for you to accept, but this is why Bill is no longer the coach. The defense was filled with trash players and 3 out of 5 guys I listed are already gone in Vrabel’s first offseason. Lol. Tavai will be gone soon. Jennings is praying an edge player isn’t drafted high or his ass will be gone this year.

It’s as if you stopped watching Bill after 2018. Bill was nowhere near this handing jobs to inferior players and not actively improving the team prior to 2020.

Ju’Whaun Bentley is so slow he won’t put his Massachusetts home on the market until 2027.

Seriously, the Dolphins had significant success placing their speedy RBs—sending them out on the flats or in wheel routes—and WRs in crossing patterns against our old-school thumper LBers.

Jennings is an enigma to me. He is great at setting the edge, shedding a blocker, and tackling. But he can't rush the passer at all. I am wondering if it was more the coaching than Jennings' skill? Maybe Vrabel and staff can unlock whatever Jennings is not doing on passing downs. Jennings will never be a 10+ sack guy, but it would be great to see him get 5 sacks and a lot of pressures.

As I posted earlier, I don't understand why BB never made any moves to replace D McC after he depended on Devin so much. It will be interesting to see what Vrabel does at FS - he passed on the top FSs in free agency. Also it will be fun to see how Vrbel will use Mapu, Peppers, and Duggar. All three are smaller faster players which Vrabel likes. Interesting times ahead.

I disagree.

It costs no cap money to have Tavai on the roster. Consider him as out last LB with starting and ST experience. Clearly, Vrabel considers Ellis as being ahead of Tavai on the depth chart. That isn't a reason to cut or trade Tavai.
===
Vrabel will consider what matters. How does Tavai fit in and his possible role, and will Tavai have the attitude to want to perform that role well?
====
I agree that the team might be keeping him as an emergency player in case of injury and will decide his future deep into camp.
I disagree with your disagreement.

The fact that you think these guys were entitled or handed anything suggests you have no clue what you were watching during the BB years. Sorry if reality is difficult for you to accept.

I liked Jennings more than Uche coming out of the draft and would be a better pass rusher. We've seen very small glimpses from Jennings, but that's it. White is another guy I'm interested to seeing how Vrabel uses him. I think he'll be a hand in the dirt End/Edge player and possibly kicking inside only if Barmore is unable to play.

Yeah I thought Bill would've signed a big time S after McCourty retired.
Don't forget what happened when BB took over. Guys you thought would be here...weren't.
At the time, I was shocked Chris Slade, Larry Whigham, Ben Coates, Terry Glenn and later Milloy were released/and or let walk/traded.

Your are reaching badly here. Bill didn't do anything to push these guys off the roster since 2020 and won starting jobs by default. Wise and Godsmack are projected backups as of right now. If Bentley gets signed, you know he's not starting. You're argument isn't looking to good.

Then you have idiots like Bryan Cowart talking **** about Tom Brady as a backup DL. They needed to go.

It's 2025 now a lot changes in 5 years these guys were never handed anything or entitled. You're just making stuff up because you're still holding onto your misguided hate of Bill.

Why do you always turn to the "they must hate Bill card"?

Because that's clearly what you're doing. These were all blue collar type guys that had to fight to get there and there really is zero reason for you to act like you are other then you're Bill hate.

No, you are making it a Bill thing not me. These players have been asked to be replaced for years now. They were by far Bill's worst group of defensive players since 2000.

By the way, Vrabel didn't make the "entitlement" comment for no reason.

Yep, Dolphins constantly exposed their lack of team speed.

That might be mostly true. There were a few groups between the dynasties that I'd argue were worse. But that wasn't what you said. You said you were tired of watching Bill just hand jobs to entitled players. And like I said if that's what you thought happened then you have no clue how things worked for 20 years and you're just being a hater.

And of course it was you I responded to you bringing BB into this Bentley thread.

Sure, like Wise whining to the media when the fans hurt his feelings with boos and that they should support a losing team. Then you have Tavai telling fans to know their place.

They were living off of Bill's success and thought they were safe. Vrabel has shown most of them the door. I'm quite surprised you're willing to put up with that **** from those players.

You tend to take things out of context from posters and automatically assume hate if BB is mentioned.

Who was even the coach at that time? But no Bill hate bias coming from you at all.

Just because I didn't like what Bill did during a specific time period doesn't mean I hate him. But again, my statement was more towards the players not Bill.

No it's more the fact that you consistently bring up things in snide ways like you just did. Some of you're other friends have settled down but you still flame on.
