Bell: "I Think We Beat Them" (if he were healthy)

Well, we'll never know if PIT would have won, but I sure felt better to see that guy out of the game. Also, when he left the game I did have some schadenfreude given the loss of Gronk and the general saltiness of that immature bunch of whining dbags.
I will admit, though I never hope for or delight in injuries, that I did breathe a bit easier once I knew he couldn't return. But I'll also say that it looked as though that D was fully prepared to stop him. The gameplan was awesome and it was executed very well before he left.

Why is there even a thread about this?
Who cares?
That regime is, and always will be inferior to the Patriots organization as long as that coach, and his mentality is reflected on that over rated organization...We are WAY better than that.

So did you willfully click on the thread or were you coerced?

This.
They were well prepared for Bell's stutter step with dicipline and gap control. Maybe that's why he came up with a case of "the cramps".

In celebration of his comments I rewatched the game. They still lost. It never gets old.

I love how Belichick works the math:
"Since the shutout is blown and there's 8 minutes left in the game....we're gonna give you the underneath stuff and let you score, however, it will take you at least 5 minutes. We make one first down and mathematically you just lost the game." The game ends with the patented Brady victory formation.

The coaches feel good about staging a comeback, but just ran out of time.
The players feel they "Were the better team/could have won if only.../win 9 out of 10 times."

The organization makes no adjustments because they have no idea they were just owned...toyed with like a cat with a mouse.

This is the Ravens and Steelers.

This is why statistics are misleading. How many times this season alone did Belichick let the opposition have that final junk TD and then run out the clock?

The one exception I can think of is the jets game where they were content to burn off the clock at the half and the dipshit coach decided to call time outs. I think the Pats scored in like 3 plays.
BURN!!!
That was an amazing display.

Exactly. They are a "Do what they do" defense and even though the NEP beats their brains in annually they are too stubborn and stupid to change their personnel strategy and scheme.

It's amazing that at this point it doesn't look like the Steelers are going to change the philosophy of their defense or get a new DC.

The road to the superbowl goes through Foxboro, and until they understand that and change accordingly, they ain't going nowhere. It's sort of incredulous to watch them beat themselves again and again, and again.

After reading the Pittsburgh message board, you can see that Steeler fans disagree that the reason they lost was because of Bell's injury

They lost because goodell rigged the game, because obviously he favors the Patriots

Agree. From top to bottom - that was the Patriots' most complete 58 minutes of the season......I'm still pissed about the late TD and 2 pointer to take away the 36-9 eff u at Tomlin.

It wouldn't be a real Patriots-Steelers blowout unless Big Ben scores at least one garbage time TD to pad his stats and keep his delusional fans yapping that he is an "elite" quarterback who is only separated from Brady because of "the system."
