Bell: "I Think We Beat Them" (if he were healthy)

Stop it Laveon Bell. Stop saying stupid things.

However, if he somehow did what no other RB did against our run defense, and somehow controlled the ball and kept TB12 on the sidelines...then it would have been a closer game. Alas, all of those are unlikely even if played the game for the next 3 weekends.

I hope the rest of the Steelers' organization - including and especially Coach Tomlin - feels just like Bell does. That way they won't change anything, including their philosophy on defense.

Exactly. They are a "Do what they do" defense and even though the NEP beats their brains in annually they are too stubborn and stupid to change their personnel strategy and scheme.

I thought Bell pulled an Aquib Taleb on the Steelers. He realized the Patriots had his number and were going to sit in his running lanes instead of getting upfieldvand allowing them to open up, so he pulled up lame so as to not diminish his free agent $$$$. He certainly don't look like he couldn't play.

And if Kordell Stewart didn't throw three picks, Troy Brown didn't return a punt for a TD and Antwoine Harris didn't return a blocked kick for a TD they would have won in 2001.

And if the Pat's didn't cheat using a flee flicker, why aren't those illegal yet considering all the Pat's success with them?, Randell El didn't do a stupid lateral, Big Ben didn't throw a pick six and the Pat's didn't cheat again with a reverse for a TD they would have won in 2004.

OH and BTW I'd trade a healthy Bell for the Pats having a healthy Gronk who has demolished the Steelers over the years any day of the week.

Actually, that's smart. He's just posturing to get fat $$ via franchise/extension, that's all. And idiot Squealer mgmt will eat it up. Good for us.

Actually, wait...this is Leveon Bell. He's incapable of thinking that far. But Squealer mgmt will still eat it up, and he'll still end up eating major cap space. Good for us.

He's a perfect fit in Pittsburgh, loves to talk the talk but never walks the walk. He's following Coach Tomlin's example perfectly.

Sign him to a big long-term deal, he totally epitomizes the modern day Squealers...spend all week preparing excuses, spend the rest of the off-season talking trash.

This is the same moron that claimed he was reinventing the RB position. He's about as bright/sane as Kyrie Irving. And this loser mentality is exactly why we are light years ahead of the Steelers. We are mentally tough and do whatever it takes to win. The Steelers whine and make excuses.

Professional athletes are freaks of nature. They have superhuman abilities and can do things most people cannot. But that doesn't make them intellligent. A lot of these guys are dumber than a box of rocks and are about as mature as an eight year old. Remember Freddie Mitchell? Christ, look at Rob Parker. It's not limited to athletes. Jealousy shrinks the brain.

1) No. We ****in killed them, and we routinely kill them even when they're healthy.

2) In this hypothetical scenario where he doesn't get injured, are our guys magically healthy too? Because if we're getting Gronk back and getting Bennett at 100% they could have three Le'Veon Bells and it wouldn't ****ing mattter.

I guess Le'Veon hasn't kicked the hangover. I'd suggest heading down to the local Denny's and ordering 5 plates of pancakes and bacon. After some much needed grease and a few more Aspirin, maybe he'll be able to face reality: Pittsburgh is a pretty fast team with dumb players and coaches who beat a fading Dolphins club and mediocre Chiefs offense.

I'm not sure Pittsburgh can win a Super Bowl without a significant change of culture. The team just isn't smart and it starts with the coaches who are either clueless about in-depth strategy or drunks who pick bar fights. It also starts with the team's leaders needing to resist making excuses. Bell's remark -- while embarrassing -- only happens because of Big Ben and his travelling carnival of excuses. Big Ben whines and laments his "injuries" virtually every week and it seems Bell is just following his quarterback down the b.s. rabbit hole.

I love it! I love all the excuses that come from teams we just beat. I think the Pats must lead the league in opposing players who've just lost to us, not being able to accept that they just got beat. We constantly hear these same excuses. Teams lose to us and can't accept it. Can't believe it.
I really enjoy their skewed and often bizarre logic.
And Maine Pats fan is 100% right. The Steelers are not winning the Super Bowl any time soon unless the entire culture there changes.
I love it!

Stop it. All of that is just crazy talk.

It's likely partly because they are always considered the more talented teams in the matchups and can't understand how a group of no names on D and slow white receivers keeps beating them.

Seriously, I've never heard an analyst say the Pats are the more athletic team in any game I've watched, big or regular.

Last year, they were a lot more more athletic than people think.

I agree and I feel the same applies to the 2014 team. But I still only heard from friends and colleagues how much better Seattle was on both sides of the ball. I simply do not believe the gap was that wide in 2014.

I do think ATL is extremely talented and I think that they truly were the more physically talented team. But I also believe talent is more than just pure physical ability. It's conditioning. Advantage - Patriots. It's mental. Advantage - Patriots. And it's coaching. Advantage - Patriots. All of those things relate to talent, even if someone wants to argue they're somehow less important than pure physical ability. But the Patriots have provided 17 seasons of evidence to the contrary.

Well, we'll never know if PIT would have won, but I sure felt better to see that guy out of the game. Also, when he left the game I did have some schadenfreude given the loss of Gronk and the general saltiness of that immature bunch of whining dbags.
