Might this be a hint of Belichick's confidence in the result? He just donated his old boat "V Rings" while keeping his present "VI Rings:"

So two questions come to mind - has he contacted Grady-White (the boatmaker) to inquire about the next size up? Or, being forward-thinking and parsimonious, did he leave sufficient space between the "VI" and the "Rings" on his present boat?

Guessing he'll just rename the one he already has with a different set of vinyl letters which are pretty cheap. Does not seem like a guy that has to have the latest, greatest and biggest. When he bought VI rings it was by no means the biggest dual console boat in Grady White's lineup.

Why would giving away the boat called 5 rings and keeping the one called 6 rings indicate he is confident about 7?

Because for the last several years he has had two boats.

But this thread was meant to be tongue-in-cheek - not seriously suggesting this move by him was a tell.
