Belichick to Jets coming to a Tv near you?

You can't be serious with this? If Bill came in and continually swept the Pats, went on to have success with the Jets, it would be an embarrassingly bad look on the organization. He could also poach some players like Parcells did to the Pats and BB did in the early 2000's. The Pats don't have much to poach, but just another thought.

It would be the late 90's all over again when the Jets would torment the Pats going 4-2 against them with two consecutive wins (1998 and especially 1999) in Foxboro on MNF. He had to take his poor decision of running Parcells away and promoting Grier by throwing Carroll under the bus.

Bill coming back into the division with a somewhat talented team is Bob's worst nightmare.

That is assuming Belichick stayed with the Jets long term and he found a QB. Belichick is likely going to break Shula's record and retire unless he is coaching a team that is a Super Bowl contender. The Jets need a new QB. Rodgers is a problem. All you have to do is look at his INT to Gilmore on Sunday. The ball was so poorly underthrown that Gilmore had to drop to the ground to catch it.

Again, I don't see him going to any team longer than a couple of years. And if he goes to the Jets, he likely would play the Pats 3 times or less before he retired. We ain't going to see 20 years of the Belichick Jets beating the Patriots.

And based on his last few years with the Pats, who is to guarantee he would even have a winning record against the Patriots by the time he retired.

I think it is all a moot point because I don't see him ever going to the Jets. I think it is a pipe dream to think it would happen this year.

And who exactly would Belichick poach that we don't want to lose? Most of the guys the Pats would want to keep are locked up.

If there's one thing we understand about bill, it's that is true to his loyalties. Look at Matty P. There's no chance he coaches the Jets.

The jets organization is completely different than the one we walked away from. Meaning all of the people. The stench remains.

That's why it's a good move as BB and Rodgers wouldn't be long term solutions. Not that the Jets are close to being a contender, but any contending team should absolutely call Bill. I think we overrated the Jets talent and they are showing they still need some players on both sides of the ball.

But yes, it's probably a moot point as the likelihood of it happening is slim to none.

Won't happen. He hates the Jets and Woody hates him. He basically used Woody's impeding purchase of the team as one of his reasons for backing out. Rodgers is also in decline and he'll be back in a situation with QB uncertainty. He's going to wait for a situation like the Cowboys or Giants to open up.

Yeah, if Rodgers was a little younger then maaaaaybe, but probably not. There will be too many other solid opportunities if he just waits 3 months.

No way in hell, one of the things I love about Bill is listen to the way he talks about the Jets, he LOATHES that “franchise”. Not a mild dislike, not the usual this is a bad team, not the politically correct they’ve made some poor decisions. He ridicules them and wants to humiliate them every time they play. 0.0000% chance he has anything more to do with coaching them.

I’d argue Belichick and Davante Adams would put the Jets in contention immediately with Joe Flacco next season.

Good defense, great stable of rbs with Hall and Allen. Adams and Wilson at wr. Yeah, that would be awful to see him in the most slimey of organizations in all of sports with assuredly the worst and most despicable fans to ever troll a stadium.

He’s a first ballot hof. However, if he brings a superbowl to a team that hasn’t won anything since before men walked on the moon? that’s another achievement all together on it’s own.

I keep seeing people mentioning the Giants. They don't have a legit starting QB. The 2025 draft is supposed to be bad for QB's.

Why go there?

This would be both my worst nightmare and most expected thing for him to do. He would need to squash the past and suck off ownership and promise he can win it all. Could be redeeming in the eyes of jets fans all while making us hate him (for some even more). Him going there keeps him close to the water/home/gf as well. And he can then pull all the ass in NJ/NY also…

As much disdain Belichick has shown towards the Jets, I highly doubt he would go back there. If he does, then the motivation to stick it to Kraft would speak volumes on what he thinks of Robert and his family.

Couldn’t they hire him now?

Start onboarding him he already has a relationship with Rodgers.
I’ve been thinking about this for a few weeks now.
Would be hilarious to see him deal with Rodgers' ego but there is almost no chance it happens.

Don't think fans appreciate how impossible it is to bring in an outside HC mid-season unless it is somebody who works the same system.

Not as much as he hates Kraft.
Not sure you've seen the potshots he keeps taking at the Jets over two decades later since he left the Pats and has been on TV.

Anything is possible, but I don't see him going to the Jesters.
I could easily be wrong.

Well, well, well... So are you Steve, Amanda, or Nike?

I don't see Bill coaching for a clown franchise ... just my opinion.

He should go to a team with talent in place ala Phil Jackson. Bill doesn't have time to be waiting or attempting to build a team and deal with young clueless players as Phil didn't like.

Dallas is my #1 choice, but Philly would be good spot as well. The Bills would another spot to watch if they flame out early in the playoffs.

He would not work for Woody
No way he coaches there after the way they embarrassed him on his way out during the “HC of the NYJ”
Rodgers is a head case and is pulling all the strings.
Philly more of an option
