Belichick signed to long term contract

That's the SAME ****ING THING.

You've allowed your boi-love of Billy to block ALL critical thinking about him.

Tom brady was also the best to ever do it. but i'm told you don't pay for past performance so brady had to go given his age...he didn't deserve a long term contract. just below market 1 year prove it deals.

yet at the same time i'm told despite doing a horrible job since Brady left Bill should stay on because of past achievements.

where was that same energy?

just imagine, patriots signed a GM after brady left. okay, lets give them 2020 as a "reset" and start at 2021

1. 2021 go 10-6. promising start make the playoffs get blown out.
2. 2022 hire a DC as OC having a losing record and miss the playoffs.
3. 2023 have an even worse record and on track to miss the playoffs again.

does that look like a successful GM to you that would be kept? and I could go further back. the talent has gotten considerably worse since 2021. they are going backwards instead of making incremental steps forward.

unless Bill's philosophy on building an offense changes past 1990's football and they start investing in the OL and "fast explosive players" the ceiling of the patriots team going forward .500 with Bill at the helm.

Since Mac was added, we have 54 new players on the roster.

All of them young.

Investing in the OL? They've spent more draft picks on the OL than practically any team. 1st rounder a bunch of 4ths and 5ths. Receivers: 5 in FA, a 2nd rd pick, 2 6th rders who look good.

Obviously this is not enough. But that's why you keep using your resources until it is. Anyway, a fast explosive WR is useless with our QB. There's no point.

The point is the roster talent is getting worse. So if all their investments are failures then the GM has done a poor job. You proved my point for me. Who cares if they are young if hardly any have a future on the team or are busts.

Not sure what your point is that a clear #1 is worthless with Mac. Just Douglas/more Bourne alone helped Mac out. Imagine putting a real #1 next to them.

Or do you just not build your team and invest in talented wideouts until you feel you have "the guy". So you surround them with garbage until they prove themselves and then you can start looking for elite talent? Makes no sense

When you overturn the roster and stock it with young players, it's a rebuild. You need to develop those new guys. But this is common in the NFL.

Unless you're an owner who wants to continue spinning his wheels for eternity (as many NFL owners have done) you let the young players develop instead of constantly rebuilding over and over again and never getting anywhere.

Mac can't look downfield. So sure, get a better WR to add to Bourne and Douglas. I've been saying this for awhile now. Just don't waste time and effort on a fast downfield guy while Mac is the QB because the effort is worthless. Players like Davante Adams or Deebo Samuel, guys who are dynamic in the short game, would be outstanding.

I don't disagree with anything you said. Where I disagree is that we have a ton of talent waiting to develop.

I'm ok with 8-8, 8-9 seasons if there is hope and you can see growth. I just don't think many of our young players on offense show that. Outside maybe Douglas, who is promising? Our offense is built around average vets mostly.

And on defense other than Gonzalez. All our young players basically haven't grown since they were drafted.

I'm just looking for an upward trajectory from 10-6. Instead we have gotten a downward trajectory.

Pessimistic. Barmore, Dugger, Uche, even Wise have all shown growth. Jack Jones is back for the 1st time in a while. Onwenu, Strange, Sow are young players to build on the OL.

Our WR group and TEs would actually look good if only we had a #1 guy.

I am still not a big Mac fan even after last week.

I do agree if we had a #1. Suddenly your receivers don't look so bad.

It's just guys are trying to be a #1 when they might be a #2 or #3 at best

Brady chose to leave

Rebuilding from scratch with the 5 qb in a draft and making the playoffs once and being in the hunt on the last day of season 2 is not unsuccessful.
This year is yet to be played out.

Cappy, that's coming from someone that likes to feel Bill's balls every day.

GFY. While fondling need testifies appears to be a large part of your life, I am talking about football. Take you gay thoughts to one of the other type of sites you frequent.

Kraft has said he has always provided Bill with anything he needs. I highly doubt Bill is on the side of route 1 shaking a cup full of coins to raise money for additional coaches.
OK

Bill doesn't think that he needs coaches, other than friends, past players and family.

Jonathan needs to convince Belichick that he needs more help, more than he did 10 years ago.

We used to say that a team is only two players away: Joe Montana and Jerry RIce (or Brady and Gronk).

Now, we say that even two like this (or Mahomes and Kelce) are not enough. We need these two PLUS a top OT. That is far, far away.

He wants a top 10 QB, WR and OT. Which btw aren't our only needs. Lol

You're not talking football.
Yes just give Bill the job forever as a lifetime achievement award.

No give it to him as long as he is willing to do it because he is the best man who has ever done the job.
You're talking nonsense. No business operates this way based on someone's performance from >4 years. NFL is a "what have you done for me lately" business. Not even Bill subscribes to your way of thinking.

You keep on saying ppl are seeking retribution because they're angry when it's apparent that you're angry at ppl demanding accountability for consistently poor performance. You're just a fan boi homer with blinders on, holding out hope that the glory days will return one day (as long as it takes) with your hero. It's not going to happen dude. Bill is cooked.

Dynasty is DOA. Move on already. Face the facts. Even Ty and Teddy are calling for Bill to retire. Are they angry?

Im not saying we're 2 HOFers away

Did you watch Baker Mayfield against the Bills the other night?

I'd say Baker had a better game than Mac did against the Bills.

Why? Because Baker stood in there and gave a gutsy performance.

He's not a good QB, he may be less than mediocre, but all I'm asking for is a guy that gives the team a chance. I'd be VERY happy with Kirk Cousins.

and, of course, that presumes that we extend Brown or Onwenu,
You what sucks about this board sometimes? When people post total exaggerations of what either people say
