Belichick Raving about Garoppolo: Increasing Trade Value or Preparing for the Unthinkable?

He's trying to increase trade value. I believe in Brady's case that as long as he's playing well he'll have a job here. If there ever is a decision to be made Kraft will have final say. Any other player is Belichick's call, but not with Brady.

Nothing has shown me Kraft wouldn't just let Belichick b-slap him into submission on Brady, as one does with Kraft.

Although there was that time he wrote that he called BB a schmuck. But I'm sure that was just for the nudges and winks at the owner's meeting.

It's a great time to pump up Jimmy's tires (and value) right before playing a team that could use his services next year.

I think its lip service and build-up for a new team.

If I am wrong, there is going to be a revolt in Massachusetts.

Nope.

Bill has final say because Bob wants him to.

If Bill wants to trade Tom and Bob says no Bill will quit.

I think in the case of Brady Kraft would need to sign off on it. Now I'm not saying Kraft would automatically rule against Belichick, if Bill put up a compelling argument then he may very well sign off on it, but it would be Kraft's call. It's a special situation, it isn't just any old player, and the owner of the team is going to have the final word.

With that said if there is one coach in this league that has the onions to even think about trading a Tom Brady, it is the HC of the NEP.

But I don't think that will happen.

Strictly speaking the owner must sign off on all trades IIRC.

When it comes to the QB spot better safe than sorry. I only trade Jimmy if you get value and Brady finishes strong. If neither of those things happen I don't Trade Jimmy.

Right now Jimmy sadly only got to show 6 quarters of play. Still I would not trade him for less than 3000 draft points (I was saying 4000 but then he got so the sample size got smaller which hurts his value sadly).

We need to remember a mid first round pick while good is not usually that game changing guy. Sometimes sure but not always.

Garoppolo: 117.1 QBR (2nd NFL)
Brady: 125.5 QBR (1st NFL)

Jimmy G didn't have Gronk, had Fleming at RT, Karras at G and looked like an elite QB vs. the Cardinals on the road.

The Cardinals right now are ranked 2nd in defense, 2nd in QBR, and 1st in passing TDs given up. In hindsight Jimmy G's 1.5 games look like the best QB audition out there.

There honestly is a chance there are two elite QBs on our roster so what BB is saying isn't crazy.

We don't agree and that is fine.

Bill would ask Bob for guidance, not for permission.

If it did go down, Bill would not blindside Bob with it. It would be a, "I think its time to consider moving on from Tom."...After Bob and Jonathan cleaned themselves they would hear Bill list out why he thinks its in the best interest of the football team and he would convince them that it's the right think to do.

Plus Bob does not want to be the owner that ran Tom out of town. If it blows up and Jimmy sucks its on BB.

honestly, Brady looked like he was slipping last week.........at that age, this kind of **** happens overnight

when he runs, he looks like a newborn deer........muscle atrophy from years of abuse in being forced to eat **** like avocado ice cream and superfood green slime beverages

Hope thats sarcasm..

jimmy isn't going anywhere.

If another team offers a first round pick, he's going somewhere.

Really, what did people expect him to say? That the offense sucks and the transition is not seamless when Garoppolo subs in for Brady?

I hope we don't get rid of Jimmy, he's our only hope of being contenders post Brady
