Thanks for this guys, just downloaded to my Kindle app. Can't wait to read it. Coming up to Boston in a couple of weeks and will read it in Patriot country.

My point was that if I am going to spend this much money on a book, want it to have some length to it.. if it was not this long would wait to buy is second hand 6 months from now.. but will savor every page of it..

Received the book and so far impressed, it appears that Holley has gotten better.. not David Halberstam better, but very good.

BTW there are no pictures, big fonts or wide margins..
Michael Holley is a very good writer.

my nickname is Horse

I have to sit down a lot now that I'm getting older! My back can't take it

i've heard of FLBP, but usually it refers to women....

$14 without all that bulky paper.

for cheapskates like me, the library is always a good option. i don't mean just physical books, either--a lot of libraries use the OverDrive ebook lending system where you can borrow an ebook online. makes it really easy, since you don't even have to make a trip to the library when the book becomes available.

lucky for me, i have access to two different library networks--boston public library, and the minuteman library network (surrounding communities around boston). i've borrowed hundreds of ebooks this way. i'm currently next in line on the holds list for the "belichick and brady" ebook at the BPL.

Holley's books are easy reads, as most sports books should be. I put this new one on the Christmas list.

From award winner author, Dr. Seuss comes the inside story of the New York Jets and how they revolutionized the Circus.

Featuring interviews from players, coaches, and depressed fans, Dr. Suess goes deep into the world of idiocy to reveal the facts on this buttfumbled franchise.

This new information detailed book includes mazes, pop up pictures, and coloring pages, which will entice New York Jets fans to purchase this amazing book. Book includes FREE Crayon Box (crayons must be purchased separately). Jets fans will also be delighted to know the price of this book is just $19.99!!!

Age recommendation: 2-10 and Jets Fans
Price of $19.99 is one installment of 5. Can be bought with one lump sum of $149.95.

But that bulky paper allows you to read it even when the batteries on your kindle have died and the power is out.

i love reading real books, but i basically use my phone to do all of my reading now because it's so convenient.

some advantages:
  • i always have my phone on me anyway, so it's easy to pull out and read something if i find myself with a few extra minutes
  • it's easy to read with one hand (pretty much impossible to read a real book while you're standing in a crowded subway train)
  • i can carry more than one book with me at a time
  • i don't have to go to the library or a bookstore or wait for an amazon delivery to get a new book

But that bulky paper allows you to read it even when the batteries on your kindle have died and the power is out.

Well, yes, although there are few places well enough lit that I can read a book without electric candlepower, even outside. Old eyes, and all. So the power thing goes both ways.

40+ pages in. Very good so far.
