Bedard: There was second guessing about Mayo over summer and him getting a second year isn't guaranteed

Perhaps they would have signed with the patriots if you were the GM.
Lol. I answer the question of who's better and I get a response like this.

Can you name even one player
Wide receivers?

Is that enough names for you to pick from?

We could add the list of players that were traded that we didn’t try to get, like Snead, Burns, etc.

How dare you criticize the GM who turned $65,000,000 into
Brissett
Chunks
Osborn
Bourne
Gibson
Leverette
Hawkins
takitaki injuredinjured

Surely that’s a Tj Houshmanzadeh “championship” haul

Takitaki played last week, believe it or not.

No he didn’t. He played against Houston. 9 while snaps on defense. Remember he committed a penalty on the opening kickoff by moving to early ON A TOUCHBACK

last week he was inactive, they elevated a practice squad guy over him who played 1 snap

Those were all in order of contract size, I could add more if I grab the guys who signed for the minimum that are better than the waiver wire, USFL, practice squad contingent we have on our roster.

I'm not in love with Mayo, it just seems like a Jets move to fire a first year coach with a bad roster. First of all, Mayo has a 10 million buyout, he isn't going anywhere, if he doesn't turn things around, I'll have my pitchfork out like the rest of you guys, but not yet.
We have thousands of pages of transcript from the guy. We've seen plenty of how he goes about his business. He can grow in some aspects but he is who he is at nearly 40. We can absolutely make a judgement at this point.

The fact Maye seems legit makes it more imperative we don't waste him with a HC we hope grows into something he's not given a single indication he'll grow into.

You've hit on the critical, disqualifying factor: there's not a single thing he has said or done since assuming the role that shows he belongs, that he's a strong leader that can take a once proud franchise and turn it around. There's literally nothing one can point to, which is astounding. "Started Maye" is the best I got, which is nothing. Most coaches would have started Maye if the OL was decent.

It’s actually an anti-Jet move because the Jets have had many coaches that they should have fired after 1 year and didn’t, and they kept losing.
How do you know Mayo gets paid 10 mill if fired. If that’s true Kraft really is a moron.

Who do you guys think can do so much better with the current roster? They have a lot of building to do, firing Mayo would be just dumb at this stage. Even the great BB didn't win much with this roster and he had the guys who are now hurt playing.
Literally anyone could do better because literally anyone could at least do something right.

Please list anything that Mayo has done right

Or even if it wasn't.
If Maye was this much better than Brissett, he should have started week 1.

Preach Force Zero! It’s comforting to know someone here gets it

Serious question (not looking for he's crap relies). Do you think Mayo might be regretting taking on the HC job. To me his body language makes me wonder. He just seems beaten down, no energy. On the sideline during games there seems to be no energy emanating from him. Perhaps that's just how he is. But I do wonder.

I’d love for someone who is at the game to give their view of what Mayo actually does in game. Who is he taking to? Does he seem involved with the coordinators? Is he talking to the players? Is he giving instruction? Or is he just watching the game and talking to whoever is on the other end of the headset?
