Fanboyish to a certain extreme haha.

Sure, I'll own it. That's my quarterback

Anyway, since we're only getting rid of Tom in favor of a better quarterback, I'd like to thank whoever went to the bizarro-universe and brought us back a version of Aaron Rodgers with more convincing post season credentials. Must of been quite an effort. When does he start?

brady fanboys make me laugh. If Matrix were here, he'd laugh too. Couldnt care less about the guy. The only guy i want qb-ing the patriots is the guy belichick and the offensive coaches think is the best man for the job. Youre all whacked if you think anyone at patriot place thinks otherwise. Some of you remind me of the buttwipes from indy that now root for the broncos because their little boyfriend left.

99% of that was needlessly and embarrassingly hostile.

For many current Patriots fans, he was their favorite player and reason for liking the Patriots.

Right there. Thank you for your honesty.

Most posters here are fans of the New England Patriots T-E-A-M.

I guess it is hard for us to be sermonized to by someone whose initial "reason for liking the Patriots" is one player.

Evidently you have a hard time distinguishing between the Present and Future tenses.

If he can play at this level at 45, I want him as our QB. If he plays like Kyle Orton at 45, he can play for whatever team you are going to switch your loyalty to for him.

Tony Mazz: "Brady biggest prima donna left in playoffs"

As Kid Rock says in "****y" "They say I'm ****y, and I say WHAT? It ain't braggin' if you do it and back it up." I concur. TFB is anything but a prima donna.

"Needlessly"? Obviously, you haven't been following the thread.

He was answering someone who posted:

"Sorry but you're an insignificant, miniscule minority, and don't speak Patriot fans.

This is everyone else, and this is during the media assault you were basking in, before the Bengals game

Tom's untouchable in these parts.
"Anyone talking nonsense about Tom Brady is not from New England"

Pretty much sums it up.

Hate away, but it isn't going to get you anywhere. Nobody is listening."
----------------

So no, Danger Zone, the hostility was not unprovoked or "needless". After all, he didn't call the poster an "insignificant, miniscule minority", is "not from New England" and tell him that "nobody is listening"

Really? I thought Miguel said just the opposite in his review of the restructure.

I can't see why it would. Salaries, be they guaranteed or nonguaranteed, simply transfer with the contract. It is only bonuses that are accelerated on the current cap in a trade/cut scenario and, as far as I can tell, none were paid or altered.

If I'm wrong about that it would certainly be the piece I'm looking for.

No, you're right. The restructure has no effect on a trade. It does, however, make releasing him a lot easier.

Miguel said:
Question:Does this move make it easier to cut a healthy Tom Brady?
Answer: Yes.

Question:Does this move make it easier to cut an injured healthy Tom Brady?
Answer: No. This deal has no impact on releasing an injured Tom Brady.

Question:
Does this move make it easier to trade Tom Brady?
Answer: No. This deal has no real impact on trading Brady.

Just wanted to say that's a terrific avatar (no pun intended.) That's a great show.

I wonder if Green Bay fans are whiling away their time discussing how best to get rid of Aaron Rodgers?

What am I thinking? Of course they are, they're savvy fans.

Me? I am actually going to wait until he's not in the discussion for MVP to wonder whether he is slipping or not. I have this really strange belief that players who are among the top 2-3 at their position, or in Brady's case 2-3 in the league period, are worth having around.

Our they could just dump him for a completely unknown commodity, because that makes perfect sense when you are replacing the GOAT.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.

Nah, Green Bay fans are appreciative and grateful.

Technically, it would have an affect on a trade, but very minor. Since the money is only guaranteed for injury, it makes the contract more attractive to a prospective trade partner. But that is not a huge thing.

Also, I think we should dump Christian Fauria next season and bring in Trent Dilfer.

It's important to have radio personalities that can connect with the fan base.

Go Sawks.

I say dump Tom now. He's a system quarterback anyway, slow to react, slow to read defenses, can't improvise, was drafted in the 6th round, and the biggest prima donna in the playoffs.

Yeah, I'm the fake fan here, and the people who were rubbing oil all over their bodies while Trent Dilfer was talking about how bad we are, and want to trade our GOAT QB to the Raiders are the die hard tried and tested.

Your calling me the hostile one here is a hilarious irony.

Join date, not a real fan, will leave Patriots when Tom is gone, don't know history of team, only like Patriots for one player.

Am I leaving any of your left field and entirely baseless -not to mention off topic- accusations out? There's been quite a few. Hard to keep up with them all.

If Brady were throwing the ball the way Manning is I think that Patriot fans would have legitimate reason to contemplate the exit strategy regarding his career, however given that he once again led them to the best record in their conference and is a finalist for MVP the discussion makes absolutely no sense at all to knee and really is the equivalent of Packer fans talking about getting rid of Rodgers.

Once again, when Brady actually starts deteriorating then I will start thinking about his successor, until then the projections are idiotic imo.

.....or when Aaron Rodgers renegotiates his contract, thus freeing up $24 million in escrow to make it easier for him and the franchise as a possible future exit strategy.

You DID see the news last week, right?

Once again, there is a difference between the Present tense and the Future tense

Endings happen. Are you upset at Tom Brady and the Krafts for addressing that last week? If that upsets someone to the point that he wants to close his eyes, put his hands over his ears, scream la la la, and tell others that they should never mention it, then that is THAT person's issue.

Your posts are reading very Deus'ian of late.

I'm still waiting for someone to give concrete answers to my prior questions demonstrating how the restructure makes it easier to move on to an exit strategy. Just stating it doesn't make it so.
