They weren't super team but they weren't a lousy team either but anyways I pivoted to a different point that I like better because your points usually are lousy. My point was the idea that the GOAT joined a superteam and was along for the ride to a championship is nonsense. No he joined a lousy team and turned them into champs. Some people have trouble accepting that for some weird reason.
He might agree he might not I don't really know because when it comes to Bill he just ignores 01-18 and focuses on the rest. It's kind of silly really.SBB my guy I think SB1 is agreeing with you..
Disagree that they weren't lousy. Sub .500 and giving up almost 30 points a game. Not even the Mayo Patriots did that. Brady's arrival turned them into champions. All by himself? Yeah I'd say pretty much. They weren't super team but they weren't a lousy team either but anyways I pivoted to a different point that I like better because your points usually are lousy.
As I've said many times Bill lost me for good at the start of the 2022 season with Matt Patricia's arrival. The Bill pom pom wavers can't handle the truthHe might agree he might not I don't really know because when it comes to Bill he just ignores 01-18 and focuses on the rest. It's kind of silly really.
This narrative gets way over played he came in a 6th round pick so when he won he SB his first year starting he wasn't really in a position to negotiate so he took the contract we offered that gave him starters money right away instead of through all the restricted free agency and playing hard ball. It wasn't some gift by Brady it was fair to both parties.Oh agree. Just a Lil friendly back and forth with wozzy.. it's all revisionist history at this point. Just was making the point that there Just isn't the total package of a superstar like TB12 anymore in football at the QB position. Guys are mercenaries for money these days. Goat continued to less for the greater good of the team.. even violation to his Own CBA for Don yee to get a deal done with pioli once.. that's how dam good player he was.. goes far beyond the 50 yard line.
I believe management grew accustomed to Brady taking less.
The truth as told by SB1 is wrong about as often as Charley Casserrly after Washington.Disagree that they weren't lousy. Sub .500 and giving up almost 30 points a game. Not even the Mayo Patriots did that. Brady's arrival turned them into champions. All by himself? Yeah I'd say pretty much.
And the truth hurts, as it usually does.
Yea I don't agree the 2019 Bucs were a "superteam" but when your offense turns the ball over 52 times that puts a ton of pressure on the D.Disagree that they weren't lousy. Sub .500 and giving up almost 30 points a game. Not even the Mayo Patriots did that. Brady's arrival turned them into champions. All by himself? Yeah I'd say pretty much.

Jameis Winston had one of the historically worst turnover seasons in pro football history, in over 100+ years of football.I didn't realize superteams were below .500 and allowing almost 30 points a game...
The GOAT joined a lousy team not a superteam. And made them great. So did the guys he brought along like Gronk and AB. Without Bill's "system", which ended up with a .426 record post Brady. Cope.
There's been 10 teams since 2015 that averaged over 2 turnovers offensively per game, how many of them have been 500 or better?Yea I don't agree the 2019 Bucs were a "superteam" but when your offense turns the ball over 52 times that puts a ton of pressure on the D.
If you look at their 2019 D for yards per play in 2019 they were top 5.
Opp starting field position was brutal. Drastically improved in 2020
2019 still had the #1 run D and the pass D - which was 4th in 3rd down D added Winfield, etc.
What truths? As I've said many times Bill lost me for good at the start of the 2023 season with Matt Patricia's arrival. The Bill pom pom wavers can't handle the truth
SuperteamThere's been 10 teams since 2015 that averaged over 2 turnovers offensively per game, how many of them have been 500 or better?
Zero was the answer. The average number of wins of all these teams was four.
The 2015 Bucs had the most turnovers of all ten teams (41) and they had the best record at 7-9 of all ten teams.
Jameis Winston's 30 Interceptions in 2019 is tied for 6th worst in NFL history. His 12 fumbles was tied for 5th worst in the NFL that season. That team was dead last in total turnovers in 2019, the majority of which was caused by the one guy most responsible for protecting the ball... the QB.
Jameis Winston led the entire NFL in passing yards in 2019, he threw 33 TD's. So anyone saying Tom Brady brought some magical elements beyond mainly protecting the ball and attracting his free agent friends is ridiculous fan gushing.
Yes my bad, 2022 not 2023, as I edited in my post. He was named OC at the start of 2022.What truths?
Patricia's re-"arrival" began in 2021.
At the start of the 2023, Patricia worked for Philly
Might want to reexamine your med doses.
Superteam
Brady's contracts were made up escalators, bonuses and up front money. His annual figures were never ahead of Manning for example his comp during the time. Brady become an asssin as his career furthered while others fell off. This narrative gets way over played he came in a 6th round pick so when he won he SB his first year starting he wasn't really in a position to negotiate so he took the contract we offered that gave him starters money right away instead of through all the restricted free agency and playing hard ball. He definitely gave a team friendly deal on his next contract. But the one after that made him the highest player in the league for a brief window until new deals for other QBs were made. And then he *****ed about his contract for the last 3 years running insisting despite little reason to do so that we add 3 more years to it so he could reach 45 when we had control of him until Kraft gave away the leverage of a tag.
Roses are redThe schizophrenia in this thread is real.
They weren't a "super team", but they had talent. With that said, they would be right where they are now with the QB play they currently have - decent but an afterthought in the NFC.My point was the idea that the GOAT joined a superteam and was along for the ride to a championship is nonsense. No he joined a lousy team and turned them into champs. Some people have trouble accepting that for some weird reason.
