BB checked in with the Jets about their coaching job??

Wild. Is this an indicator of the level of enmity between him and Kraft?
Or maybe that over the years the hate was overplayed by media to hype up storylines? Or, time heals all wounds?

A little like the great Willie Mays playing out his last games for the absolutely hapless NY Mets of the day.
Mays last season with the Mets was 1973, the year they went to the World Series and lost to Oakland, hardly hapless. And he hit .300 in the post season ( 3 for 10),

Probably just doing his due diligence before accepting UNC offer, checking where all the NFL teams were in their planning.

I’m curious who he called, their public switchboard? Or their GM? And did he have caller id turned off?
What does doing due diligence mean? You are not making sense

Very funny story

George C. Parker is the source.

It was the worst 300 in history.

A couple of dribblers made it through the infield.

He was a show of himself, unfortunately.

I call BS.

If true it is a desperation move.
Bill will be back in NFL in 1-2 years.
After June 25 he has only a 1 million buyout with UNC

He is going to pass UNC job to his son and return to NFL.
He is motivated to break Shula’s record and stick it to Kraft.

Here's the report from Dianna Russini:

“For months, Belichick’s inner circle quietly conducted informal conversations with a few teams, testing the waters. A very small circle of people in the Jets building were made aware of his interest, though I was told no meeting or formal conversation ever happened because the UNC opportunity popped up. So, in the end, none of the talks — with the Jets or any other NFL team — turned into anything serious, and now North Carolina is Chapel Bill.”

So nothing.

Memory plays weird tricks. I remember him looking like a feeble old man in the outfield.

Honestly can't recall his at-bats.

Thnx for bringing facts to bear.

I’m not a fan of Kraft, but I can’t see how slogging out a handful of wins to get a record ‘sticks it to anyone’.

I don’t care if BB gets that record or no. I’m interested in his wins as the Patriots HC. In particular, games won in February.

There is some much animosity towards BB, this is easily the best of this week's fake news. This is amazingly discovered and reported the same week BB accepts the UNC coaching job? And it was a JETE leak? How many red flags do you see?

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest the Jete are trolling BB after he bashed Woody so often during this season. When Saleh was fired, Bill said it was typical of Woody's "Ready, fire, aim," approach to running the team.

This is one "confirmed report" I just don't believe.

This is getting sad for Bill..

In two years he'll be entering a season where he is 75 years old. If he can't get a job now, every year he waits lowers his chances.

Or, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Even if they used to be my enemy.

Yeah, he was doing what he should be doing, keeping tabs on all opportunities even the ones he might not really want. If nothing else it gives him an idea of the market for his services and for those he might compete with for other jobs. NBD.

If Bill wins a couple of national championships in the next 3-4 years a team will be interested.

It won't be a rebuild.

Some team like Buffalo or the Eagles this year will bring him in to get over the top.

Maybe Andy Reid retires, and he takes over KC.
