BB/Brady Era: Where do you rank the Falcons out of the 7 SB opponents we've faced?

2001 Rams
2014 Seahawks
2016 Falcons
2007 Giants
2004 Eagles
2003 Panthers
2011 Giants

Not quite as good as the Seahawks overall, but definitely the best offense since the GSoT.

2001 Rams
2014 Seahawks
2016 Falcons
2007 Giants
2003 Panthers
2011 Giants
2004 Eagles *

* any team lead by Donovan McNabb wasn't going to beat us in a Super Bowl, no matter how good the rest of the team was.

Won't know for sure till we play em.

#1 14 Seahawks
#2 07 Giants
#3 01 Rams
#4 05 Eagles
#5 16 Falcons
#6 11 Giants
#7 03 Panthers

This list takes into account the talent on each team, the physicality of each team and how hot each team was.

It's funny to look back at that Carolina team and see just how stacked it was.
Remember one thing about the Carolina SB - it took place in the same stadium this one will be..in Reliant Stadium and a similar type of down the field second half could come about again - I would put that SB as best ever of all of them,so much ups and downs,it was an incredible finish

Lots of a talent, but also the worst QB we've faced in a SB. I was surprised by just how pedestrian Delhome's stats were in 2003.

Jake Delhomme
19 TDs / 16 INTs / 80.6 Rating

Giants are #1 and #2 automatically because they won.

2007 Gints
2011 Gints
2014 Seahags
2001 Lambs
2004 Iggles
2003 ****ies

Incomplete: 2016 Birds

Delhomme may not have been a great QB, but he was a gamer. He probably had the best game out of any of those QBs we faced.

07 giants
11 giants
01 rams
14 Seahawks
04 eagles
16 falcons
03 panthers

I think they are the best offense we've faced, but I also think they are the worst defense we've faced. Still I'd put them 3rd overall:

14 SEA
01 STL
16 ATL
04 PHI
11 NYG
03 CAR
07 NYG

That 2014 Seahawks team was being talked about as one of the most dominant in the past 10 years. They were one their way to being a "Dynasty" and going back to back, until Butler picked them. One of the best defenses possibly ever. And Marshawn Lynch was a tough tough RB to take down, and Russel Wilson a tricky QB to defend. I think they were the best team we faced in the SB.

The 2011 Giants weren't that good, but neither were the 2011 Patriots. Our secondary was horrible and Gronk got injured in that playoffs.

Tell ya in 2 weeks?

The '01 Rams were, far and away, the best of the 7. After that, does it really matter?

No but I'd be interested in seeing your rankings for the other teams. This is where I am at.

1.Rams 01
2.Seahawks 14
3.Giants 07
4.Eagles 04
5.Falcons 16
6.Panthers 03
7.Giants 11

Is there a reason not to include the Bears and Packers? The Bears defense that year changed the game, so they warrant some consideration.

01 rams
14seahawks
07 Giants
04 Eagles
03 Panthers
11 Giants
16 Falcons

Okay so most of this is based on matchups. I think this is the best matchup we've ever had. This list doesn't mean the falcons are worse than the other teams. I just think their defense is awful, and I don't see us losing to an awful defense. But we still have to go out there and do our thing, if we don't we'll losse

Giants were among the worst Superbowl winnings teams I can remember. So I agree with the OP, they belong at the bottom.
