I know it sounds like sour grapes, and I'm sure a few were the right calls. But I lost it a few times. I was this close to being totally done with this NFL BS. I was literally waiting, after every play to see if there was a flag. WTF??!!!. Jeez, and these idiots wonder why people are tuning out? And I'm not only talking about the flags against the Pats. It's frustrating and takes all of the fun and excitement out of it. . If it weren't for the TB/BB revenge tour, I'd be gone already.

Honestly it wasn't just the flags on the Pats. There were some they threw against the Bills where I rolled my and thought wow I'd be pissed if I was a Buffalo. There were some serious phantom flags against both teams.

The officiating was incredibly ticky tack. Fouts didn't help because he made every missed call or close call seem like the biggest officiating oversight of all time.

His histrionics over the play where Hightower rode Taylor out of bounds were pretty over the top.

Regardless of which team was being flagged, the biggest overall lesson to me was that the pass interference penalty is simply broken. It needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. There is no consistency at all to its application -- and no other penalty that can march you half the distance of the field.

It needs to be rebuilt for sure - but the NYJFL is most likely perfectly happy with how it is and what it allows them to do.

The best way to fix the pass interference calls which the refs get wrong so frequently is to adopt Belichick's recommendation that every play is reviewable. It would have overturned that last one called on Rowe where the receiver grabbed his arm.

I have to go to a sports bar to view the game so I don't get any sound so I don't experience some if the awful just the awesomes
As someone who hates watching Pats games in sports bars because I can't hear the broadcast, let me assure you that you didn't miss a f###### thing today. They were horrid. Ian Eagle, in particular, sounded as if he bet his family's collective lives on the Bills.

I want penalties to be called because this favors disciplined teams--like the Pats. Also, because infractions should not be overlooked unless they're minor and have no impact on the play (as in late flags)

As to Fouts, is he anti-Pats?? He sure sounded it a good deal of the time. It seemed like the biggest play of the game to him was that Collins wasn't flagged for his out of bounds hit which I thought was a continuation play that began inbounds--how was he supposed to halt his momentum.

How did the refs not take back the last Bills TD after Rex threw a challenge flag before it? They should have as it counted as a time out but it would have been hilarious and just

I don't think Fouts hated the Pats yesterday - he was trying to make a game out of it; that one was over after the first Pats drive, and everyone watching knew it

The Bills did get away with like 3 roughing the passer calls though.

These are the two PI calls against Rowe. I wouldn't have called any one of them. The first one, there is a bit of contact, yes, but Rowe's turning his head towards the ball. The second one is just utterly ridiculous. Woods grabs Rowe's wrist and Rowe gets flagged for PI?

The referees are ruining the game. The Raiders broke the all time NFL record for penalties yesterday. How they managed to win is a mystery to me. I was watching the OT period and got so frustrated that I changed the channel and missed the win.

Rowe defended both passes perfectly, that official will get major deduction points on his evaluation after this game film is evaluated. You can't even coach a DB to play each of these any better than Rowe did.

That's really sad that Woods decided to grab Rowe's wrist and help bring him closer to him to try to get the pass interference call rather than just try to catch the ball with both hands. What's even sadder is that his plan worked.

Hurt my score prediction as well. I predicted 9 for the Bills. It's times like these that I just want to go into an uncontrollable rage. Screw the refs....bunch of worthless bags of beaver dung.
