No idea if he can still play, but in any event, he can't play man, so no.

id take him for vet minimum, he would make for a nice depth player

I don't think we need any more crappy tacklers on the squad.

I don't think we need any more crappy tacklers on the squad.

Or ones with "Get Paid" tattoos..

..or ones who can't catch easy game-ending interceptions in Superbowls..

..to say nothing of the ones utterly blowing their man coverage on a game-ending down in Superbowls.

How about Sidney Rice, he's going to be released?

On the topic of cap casualties, I don't think we have room for Samuel even on a vet min deal. He wouldn't want to be a CB5.

However, I hope Miles Austin and Sidney Rice are eventually cut before FA. Both would be relatively cheap, glass WRs. Might as well take a chance on one of them.

Dude made lots of coin...between $50-60 mill. Ring + coin.

theres not going to be anything cheap about miles austin.

also we dont need any more receivers(top 5 offense last year), we need offensive line and defense.

Miles Austin? Unless it was for a vet minimum, and he would be coming in to be the number 2 or 3 WR, I don't think you put any eggs in that basket.

Anybody? No?

He can't play, he was always soft, and that ship sailed long ago. We went through the same discussion 2 years ago before Philadelphia traded him to Atlanta for a song.

Hell no. I would rather Arrington. And any money that would be used on Asante should be used on Talib.

32 and coming off of a down season is not where you want to be as an NFL cornerback.

No, no, no! especially after he slacked off on that David Tyree circus catch, and that interception drop that would have given us true immortality.

Anybody? No?

Right on, Dude. Cassell's available, Seymour and Donte Stallworth are free agents, Moss can still get 15 TDs, the Broncos will cut Welker and his $8 million cap hit loose. It's 2007 all over again. Kevin Faulk can roll us a medical marijuana bone and the band will be back together. Yo' anybody got Ellis Hobbs on speed dial?

Yeesh.

Asante should get paid somewhere...unemployment.

He doesn't really fit the model of CBs that the Patriots are looking for nowadays, and he isn't the player that he used to be. Might be worth a look, but his prospects aren't looking good.
