This is not a Seattle situation. Seattle entered SB49 fully healthy with all units executing at a high level. They lost the game because their coach got too cute and called the worst possible play at the worst possible time. The loss fractured the locker room because players lost confidence in their coach. Their best offensive player (at the time) got injured then quit on the team, then injuries decimated their biggest defensive strength.
The Chiefs weren't competitive last night because they were playing a JV squad at offensive line. Mahomes covered a total of 497 yards scrambling on a bum toe trying to escape the Tampa pass rush. The Giants were brutal to Brady during Super Bowl 46, but this game might have been the worst collective performance of an offensive line that I have ever witnessed.
The Chiefs are fine. They are tight against the cap, but their roster seems to be built using the Rams blueprint - load the roster with high end game breaking talent, and try to draft really well in the mid rounds. It has worked so far.
