It's been a pretty unproductive week for me at work, I won't lie.

When it's Sunday, I'll be pretty nervous. I really, really hope the Patriots win. Seattle needs to be put in their place. They need to spend time with their first Lombardi trophy for a few more years. If the Patriots can hopefully put up, I don't know, 35 points in the first half, then I wouldn't have to worry about being nervous. But if it's a close game until the end with the Patriots winning, I hope I don't faint. I actually did pray to God a couple weeks back and asked for the Patriots to win this Sunday and win at Super Bowl 50. But yeah, I'll be nervous on Sunday.

That's a big no for me. I haven't had any time at all this week until now to catch up on Patriots news. Life has been keeping me busy this week and I still am so no time to think about the Superbowl for me.

I woke up 7 or 8 times last night in a panic that I had overslept and the game was over.

And what pissed me off most was that the Pats killed them and I didn't have the chance to text every dbag, mouth-breathing, New England hating, scrub "friend of mine," obscene texts trampling all over their damn day like they trampled over my two weeks leading up.

Normally I'd have a stomach full of lepidoptera...these past ten ,eleven days though the only feeling I have that I cannot seem to harness is boiling, raging anger. I try to find peace and beauty in all the wonderful things that surround me but then I jump in the car and some moron starts yakking like a puking jackass from the radio and it's stroke out city again. I was fatalistic at the beginning of the week. I figured the distractions would take a toll on the Pats. Plus, the Hawks looked so formidable defensively, I was getting down and thought the Pats didn't stand a chance. However, I've changed my thinking.

BB has changed up this time around by giving the players no practice on Saturday. That means they are more rested than Seattle. This Seattle team ISN'T the one Denver faced, they aren't as good.

Moreover, all the evidence supports the fact that the Pats are innocent and unfairly accused.

I think the Pats win and serve a huge helping of humble pie to the hawks.

I hope they choke on it.

I felt pretty strongly about what you're saying, but the past 2-3 days it's really started to sink in.

Unless "TM" is a form of whiskey or medication that I'm not aware of, then it's probably not going to work very well.

Unfortunately, nothing will give us these past 2 weeks back, so all we have now is the game. In the end, winning will be the best medicine EVAH!

Another SB win + the tides turning in the witch hunt within the next couple of weeks, and all will be back to normal.

Lose and it's a whole different ballgame--but I don't want to put any pressure on you

I've got them now though. It's true - the stupid controversy was the "big story" so many ways that the usual circus just didn't happen for me. It's a blessing in a way... I'm not focusing on either one, just on day-to-day stuff... now suddenly I'm like... this is it!

Now I'm starting to think the old "this is the year unless it isn't" thoughts. In both Giants SBs I thought we were going to win... but this year I have seen time and again the ability to come back from any deficit. The zenith of Pats' talent was in 07/08 - I don't know if we'll ever see a more purely talented team. What this team has is the sum of its faults - the knowledge that they're not invincible and the perseverance to get through that fact in any given scenario. It's a resilient team first and foremost... and very talented as well, just not 07/08 level.

Of course, they're playing a team that's a lot like them in that respect.

I'm like, yikes. That Seahawks D is unbeatable... unless it isn't. We can't contain both dimensions of Russel Wilson... unless we can.

Truth? I have a feeling for some reason that the Pats will get the game in hand by the end of the third quarter, and keep the 'Hawks out of reach, for a margin of victory greater than our customary 3 points. I have no rational backup for this feeling.

Like I said, don't give it too much credit. We'd have 2 more Lombardis if these feelings were in any way accurate.
