Woman Says Andrews Threatened Her With Gun

BOSTON -- A New England Patriots defensive back is accused of pointing a gun at his fiancee's head in Mansfield on Monday after she accused him of cheating on her.

The woman told police that she confronted Willie Andrews, 24, in a bedroom of his apartment on Sunday night, according to the Sun Chronicle. She said that Andrews was waving the gun and that it touched her temple, the newspaper reported.

The woman called 911, and when police arrived, Andrews allowed police to search his car. Police did not find a gun. The woman took her child to a hotel, police said.

Early Monday morning, police saw Andrews talking to the woman in the hotel parking lot. She told police that she was scared because he "threatened to shoot her in the past."

Andrews was later arrested at his apartment and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.

Looks like they are going to have to revise the report pretty soon to make it FORMER Patriots Player Faces Gun Assault Charge. I think Andrews has a decent amount of upside, but he is getting in far too much trouble to keep on the team. He is likely going to see a half season to a season long suspension anyway.

Probably, he's becoming more effort than he's worth. Still, it looks like an accusation that won't be substantiated as they didn't find a gun.

Andrews has been made more expendable by their additions via draft and free agency - frankly, he'll be replaced on the roster by someone who should hopefully fare as well on ST, and will have more value on the defensive side of things than he does.

I dont say hes gone. But hes on his last straw. There was no gun and it could just be an incident of a woman claiming that she was "threatened" which it has happened before for other players and teams.

In no way am i saying that Willie is innocent but it sure as hell doesnt look like he intended to kill her when police saw him and her talking in the hotel parking lot the following morning.

If you were just threatened for your life would you tell the man that threatened you where you were staying and actually go outside to talk to him?

Well, I think that people are responding as if the accusation is the reality, but I also think people are looking at is as a fringe player getting into trouble twice in a short span of time, guilty or not.
