I think that depends on what kind of money it would be for. He would give us an option of a guy who can keep opposing defenses guessing on all downs due to his ability to act as a bell cow back and contribute to the passing game. Aside from his injury shortened season (and sparsely used rookie season) he has averaged over 4 ypc in the other three years, putting up 4.7 in two of them.

At the moment, we don’t have a RB who can keep teams guessing aside from maybe Burkhead, and I’m not sure that he can act as a lead back. Perhaps they add someone via the draft who can do this, which has to happen at some point. Either way, I think he’s an immediate improvement on Mike Gilleslee, and wouldn’t add that much to the cap once Gilleslee would be cut.
