Had an issue with a crashed table following yesterday's outage at the datacenter that had to be repaired and ran way longer than I had expected, so I ended up moving forward with doing an extensive overnight maintenance thing that I've been putting off for a while to get that out of the way. So the good news is, that's done and over with, which will save a future evening of being down.

But we're good, so I apologize for the downtime.

Thankful for your efforts...this particular lurker was beginning to develop withdrawal symptoms

You mean it wasn't Russian Jete Fans? Wait a minute, how do we know you're the real Ian? I'm going to need some verification here, do something unaccountably nice.

LOL, I'd snap a photo and hold a sign, but since I'm working from home I haven't showered yet and I'm pretty sure I'd scare off everyone who is just now getting back on here

How late were you up, @Ian ? Site was down around midnight PDT.

Thanks for your efforts.

Regards,
Chris
Pretty late. I noticed an issue around 4pm-ish yesterday and shut it down and I had to run a few processes that each took over an hour to diagnose and then repair things. By then, it was so late (about 11pm) that I just decided to go ahead and run a couple of things, and then had the techs move some things around and do the maintenance thing I needed. I got up at 4:30am to check on it and it was still running, but it finished at just before 7am and then I just had to make some internal changes and test things before opening it back up.

Your idea of a few minutes is worse than my girlfriend's

yeah...my last girlfriend told me "I'll be back in a few minutes..." that was 8 years ago...

This reminds me of why my friend only dates married women: they all have somewhere else to go home to....

Thanks Ian for your hard work and patience keeping the site going.

You put in some serious work to allow us to bicker over who the Pats should draft in the 4th round. Much appreciated.

Chris

These women's word definitions will help you.

FINE

This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

FIVE MINUTES

If she is getting dressed, this is half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given 5 more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

NOTHING

This is the calm before the storm. This means "something," and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with 'Nothing' usually end in "Fine"

GO AHEAD

This is a dare, not permission. Don't do it.

LOUD SIGH

This is not actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A "Loud Sigh" means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you over "Nothing"

THAT'S OKAY

This is one of the most dangerous statements that a woman can make to a man. "That's Okay" means that she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

THANKS

A woman is thanking you. Do not question it or faint. Just say you're welcome.

Almost forgot "Whatever"...(it's a woman's way of saying *!#@ YOU!)

The Chinese government has just issued a statement blaming the American military for last night’s outage....

I thought for sure a Jete attack.

Nice job, Ian. Thanks.
